You’ve been signing players throughout the season along with sacking a manager that would have required some sort of compensation but now want to null & void as you’re struggling. All these votes are purely self interest votes on league position nothing to do with finances, the null and void excuses can get in the bin.

I reckon we might well vote the same and if we do I will be saying the same thing about my own club before anyone starts bleating.
Nothing to do with league position. We aren't in the relegation zone, in fact for the majority of the season we've been in and around the play off places.

New signings are non contract and on expenses (and some have gone because they were offered decent deals elsewhere). We don't pay for the loan signings either, wages paid by their clubs.

Most interesting thing is that Wealdstone, like King’s Lynn, have voted for resolution one despite going for null and void. Suggests that will pass, and likely means step one continues and step two ends.

In fairness to the Stones, aren’t most of those signings either loans or non-contract signings?
True, we just signed 3 players on loan at no cost to us as well as releasing 4 who were on expenses only. Stuart Moore was released and was travelling down from up north, so a fair expens.

The manager resigned, whether we are paying him anything is a possibility but only contracted to end of the season. We have not appointed anyone, only promoted our academy coach so hardly a great expense.

A lot of our budget has been raised by fan donations so I think the club are wary of pissing off those that have contributed.

There is not going to be relegation this season as North and South will null and void, be interesting to see if we furlough any players.

The last paragraph from the club statement is key:

"We are in the process of applying to the DCMS Winter Sports Survival fund to assess our eligibility and the level of loan funding that may be available however we reiterate that saddling the club with debt is something we will seek to avoid."

I interpret that as the club will take on a loan to complete the season but only as a last resort (so as not to undermine the integrity of the competition). Hopefully we can get some supporters back in for the final month of the season so any loan taken on isn't as significant as originally expected.

I have no words for this shambles.

Basically, it is standardised across leagues that footballing creditors take precedence. However, the way the loans are currently structured from Sport England would mean that this debt would supersede footballing creditor debt, thus breaking league rules.

Ill not lie, I’ve lost track of who’s voting for what and when. Is it likely that the top division will vote to carry on, but the lower leagues will stop? If so, will that mean no relegation and render a lot of the games meaningless?

See the Notts County fans have learned the step system, at risk of going full tinpot there.

I'm on your side here... you've got to keep your league club attitude, your shouldn't even know what's below the Conference (and you insist on calling it that), let alone be able to speak fluent non-league with words like 'step' and '3G' and 'Billericay'. As far as you know, the only thing between the Conference and pub football teams is a yawning chasm filled only with apprentices who were released at 15, fat blokes and York City.

No brother shall be compelled to know what an 'Isthmian' league is.

What happened to the weekly testing protocols that they were apparently putting in place at this level? Has that come into play yet, as they mentioned that that would then stop getting games called off etc...

Absolute nightmare situation when your whole squad has to isolate for 10 days, we’ve experienced it twice in quick succession, hopefully never again!

We’ve been testing twice a week, that’s how these cases have been picked up.

We now have the next two Saturdays free (due to play Macc next week), which is bizarre considering the number of games we still have to play. I suspect that Ardley will publicly say this is terrible and privately be quite happy - we’re not playing well at all and would benefit from some time training to work the system back out to be honest, as well as having a number of injury issues.

The logical thing for us to do next Saturday would be to play our away game at Wealdstone, who are due to play Dover. That fixture currently clashes with our Trophy semi-final, so needs shifting anyway. But I’m convinced there’ll be some league rule that stops it because you have to give Dover the opportunity to physically not turn up or something.

Weymouth have placed 7 players on furlough. Not that you'd notice from how they've been playing.

Confirmed that the fixture has been re-arranged for Saturday 13th March. Kudos to all parties concerned for acting proactively.

Has your whole squad had to isolate for 10 days or just those testing positive?

Would obviously be better for you guys if those not affected are able to continue training whilst you’ve not got any games

Comms from the club have been vague, Tweet said those affected will isolate, website said squad. Our clubs communication is crap at best so who knows? Players are very quiet about it too which is unusual.

I’d be surprised if it actually comes to pass, feels like a little nudge for younger people to get vaccinated to be honest.

Bigger short term issue for football is going to be the number of people needing to isolate. I’d assume clubs will be making vaccination a requirement for players, but doesn’t stop them being pinged. Although ‘elite sport’ will probably get an exemption to the daily testing thing instead.

With covid cases on the rise, and PSF's being called off all over the place, with BJ's latest statement and the possibility of another full/partial lockdown predicted for about 6 weeks time, didn't the NL make a statement that the season wouldn't start unless all games can be played in full capacity allowed grounds. I wonder if there are changes to rules about to happen again.

Didnt Boris say vaccine passports needed to gain access to large gatherings INDOORS meaning NL football is OK?

I would be astonished if we were locked down again to the extent that crowds weren’t allowed at this level tbh.

In a month you’ll only have to isolate if you’ve got it/think you’ve got it and are waiting for test results so that solves the close contact issue.
