God life is good at the moment, I'm going to fully enjoy this whilst it lasts.
Fifty bloody long years supporting the Skyblues and only one great winning day out, I remember the top six finish still in the early seventies but this feeling is blooming fantastic.

Awaits bubble to burst, or will it

By the way, for all the light-heartedness in this thread (which makes a welcome change by the way) - congrats to Cov, I look forward to the return fixture.

Yes Joe good luck to you until when we play against each other later this season
No question you will be up there at the end, hopefully with us.

Now go and beat the others around us.

Good luck

I don't think any of Coventry's midfield would get in our team at the moment, and remember Bradley Dack's value is a lot more than any of the entire Cov team, and John Egan of course is obviously the best centre back in the division by a country mile.

Is Armstrong the bloke who used to play for Cheltenham?
Its a good job you were only joking otherwise you would look pretty silly now!

Gillingham defence was all over the place in the first half
John Egan is the worst centre half in the division
Not a single Gillingham player would make our bench

Glad we've clarified all that now

Don't you say this every season about sides going up to the Championship ,yet most survive.
Common sense would say if either or both of us go up we would start the season with new signings in key areas, the Championship is a good league but it's not great.
You have no idea what team either of us would start with next year, so you can't make a comment like that

I've not said yet but your team is weak as fuck compared to the three that went up last season

We were incredible in the first half, best 45 minutes I've ever seen from a Coventry side. Armstrong had a quiet game but was still dangerous and could have scored a 5th when he hit the post. Jacob Murphy has come on massive last few weeks, thats 5 in 2, or 6 in 3 for now. Was quite surprised how both how dirty and cynical Gillingham were, and how toothless they looked upfront. Bradford on Tuesday is going to be a very tricky game, would take a point now.

But seriously though, Gillingham defence were a shambles in the first half, could have driven a double decker bus through the gaps they left in the first half.

That's what happens when you train with a centre back all week only for him to be recalled by his parent club 20 hours before the game, and his replacement isn't fit I'm afraid!

Yea I thought your midfield defensively gave them no help or protection though which was the bigger problem. Your back 4 was at the mercy of Murphy and co. every time.

Are we talking the squad as it is now including loans? Or contracted players to Coventry?
Don't bother replying to him, he doesn't realise clubs that get promoted sign better quality players in weak areas.
He thinks if we go up we would keep the 17 year old right back and the 16 year old midfielder and let them get kicked to death in the Championship.
We have had nothing to celebrate apart from one day in near fifty years and are officially the least most successful league side in the entire football league, when taking in top 10 finishes and playoffs etc, yet some sad twonk still comes on here to say we are shit.
It's pathetic

We just set up badly really. We know how Cov set up, so playing the diamond was asking for trouble. If Lennon hadn't been recalled, I'd be willing to bet we would've set up with 3-5-2 wingbacks, and pack the middle. Also the midfield choices were poor anyway - Osadebe isn't ready to be starting regularly, regardless of how exciting a prospect he is. I love Josh Wright too, but he's a deep-lying playmaker not a midfield brute.

I thought we were supposed to be playing Coventry this afternoon, not a premier league team!
Couldn't make it today so listened to Radio Kent. Some bloke who's a Newcastle player scores a hat-trick, they took him off to be replaced by another bloke from Newcastle. I heard mention of a players from Liverpool, Aston Villa, Norwich....They were just the ones the commentator mentioned, how many more are there??? What an effing joke, got to feel sorry for you lot who want to see a real Cov team, not a plastic one!!

They even loan their own stadium don't you know.

Nothing important to add about the soccerball game I'm afraid.
