I thought we were supposed to be playing Coventry this afternoon, not a premier league team!
Couldn't make it today so listened to Radio Kent. Some bloke who's a Newcastle player scores a hat-trick, they took him off to be replaced by another bloke from Newcastle. I heard mention of a players from Liverpool, Aston Villa, Norwich....They were just the ones the commentator mentioned, how many more are there??? What an effing joke, got to feel sorry for you lot who want to see a real Cov team, not a plastic one!!

I don't really understand this to be honest, why does it matter if they've got a lot of loanees? Having a player in on loan is just as legitimate as signing them permanently, I'd happily take a team of players on emergency loan from the DR Congo if it meant improving the quality of the squad. Sounds like we took a battering, losing Lennon at the last minute can't have helped and having such a young team means that things like this are going to happen every so often as they've got a lot to learn, but we were beaten fair and square.

The scorers were from Mighty Norwich and mighty Cardiff who came through our academy before going to Cardiff.
ALL clubs ,not just Coventry can play five loanee's per match, other fans seem to think only Cov can play five loanee's, it's getting to p*** me off.
Armstrong before this season was a total 19 year old unknown, We have a manager who like every club in this division has little money to sign players of decent quality permantly so he uses his contacts he's built up over the last 15 years to his advantage.
Every club can do the same, so can you get off our back, we aren't breaking any rules all we have is a very experienced manager used to working with a very limited budget.
There are real gem players out there, it's up to each club to network and get them on loan.
We have at least six players in and around the squad who have come through our academy. Cov is as skint as the majority of clubs in this league

How often have you seen us play with Armstrong, Murphy and Kent play then to make that observation?


I've watched this team as well as Bristol City, Preston and MK Dons last season and this team can compete with there teams in league 1. There's a number of players in this squad who will go beyond the championship within the next 3 years.

We won at Colchester last week, only 1 of the starting 11 was a loan player. Didn't see much talk about loanees then. Funny that.

How would you know? To be fair, I've seen a lot more League 1 football than you in the past 4 years I'm willing to bet, and can honestly say I've not seen another team play in the manner we have at times this season. Last year's promoted teams? Bristol City were impressive all season, Preston were a strong outfit but didn't set the world on fire, and I seem to recall taking 4 points off MK Dons, and we were uber shit last term.

But hey, who knows. Our purple patch may end soon. We may lose Tuesday. No idea how this season will pan out from here, but based on what I've seen we should go close.

Because that is what we always do.
It's why we win most at home but tend to come unstuck away.
We need to tighten up away from home, that was apparent at Walsall when we threw away a two goal lead and again on Saturday.
To be fair, I think we may have played three centre backs on Saturday but for Lennon being recalled on Friday afternoon.
