Totally agree with him to be frank. We are four points of the top six, home form the best it's been in a decade and well clear of the danger the bookies and pundits expected after last seasons late collapse

Dicko needs to keep his gob shut & concentrate on defending the goal and not getting sent off for lashing out. I go every game home and away in all competitions and can moan if the product is not worth it.

I got a feeling this is going to be a draw. Port Vale are tight at the back and have a few goals in them. Coventry are no joke, although I can't see them as clear favourites on Boxing Day.

Cov to win and Vale to complain that they should of have 3 penalties and had 2 Coventry players sent off.

Battered them so far but poor final ball a post have denied us, played some of the good football from early season and the high press has kept Coventry pegged back in the main.

Keep it up second half Vale!

Good win without ever really playing amazingly. Happy with that. 6 points from Chesterfield and Crewe please City.

We played like a non league outfit for the first 30 minutes, rest of the match was a decent contest. Port Vale did ok but our keeper didn't have a single save to make in 90 minutes.

lol at the group of Vale fans who tried to start on the section where the players friends and families sit.

All Vale for first 30 mins but don't recall them having an worthwhile effort after that. We were much better 2nd half without pulling up any trees. Good 3 points in the end. Needed that.

Again, not the best of performances, but very relieved we managed to grab the win. Looking forward to Chesterfield.

Vale fans were funny, good to watch.

Made me laugh after the game, the road got blocked off as the Vale fans smashed their own coach doors open to get out at a few Cov fans. The police obviously wouldn't let the coaches go until their door was fixed. I am sure they enjoyed the extra 25 minutes in north Coventry.

You may well get all the points v Chezzer...they're a bit crap but you're unlikely to return from sunny Crewe with a maximum haul.

the trouble was started by a few Cov knobs from the exec boxes who got escorted back to their seats. one joker came across the netting with arms wide open giving it large and got duly walloped. twat. as for the game yes the Cov keeper made no saves but neither did ours. As per Burton and Walsall came away perplexed how they are at the top as they were toss. Worst League one for years. Fair play to a top 17'000 gate but dont you know anything apart from that shit jimmy hill song ? Yawn

Fuck knows what 'Chezzer' is but I fully expect to see them win at Chesterfield on Monday. I say, 'see' but unless things change I'll be long gone by the final whistle.

Chilled out a bit now after that.

Frustrating as Coventry scored from their only strike on target up until that point and denied us a deserved point.

Started well, played the high pressing game and Coventry were all over the place, their keeper seemed a lose cannon and we put them under pressure. AJ hits a great volley that cannons of the inside of the post across goal, we smash one across the face just out of reach of AJ and Foley blazes over from 12 yards when he should be scoring. At half time I am no longer settling for a point and wanting all three.

Was always going to be hard to play at the tempo we had first half for 90 minutes and we sat deep, Coventry had most of the pressure without doing anything to test Alnwick, we have a cross that AJ somehow decides to chest and control when a header from six yards would of probably scored.

The goal was out of nothing, good strike, Alnwick probably should do better with it and we wern't tight enough and as per most away games we lose late on with little answer.

Better than previous away performances I had seen but we could as easily come away from away trips to Walsall and Coventry with 4/6 points but got none and that seems to be the way its going for us away from Vale Park. We've played worse than that at home but are still racking up the results there.

Cov were there for the taking as were Walsall but we are sorely missing a striker to partner AJ and hopefully Page will address this in January as the last couple of games have highlighted what a dire division this is this season and its going to be a missed opportunity not to be going for the play offs if we don't sort it.

Trouble seemed a bit meh, Coventry fans next to the netting were giving it the big un looking for a reaction and got it, luckily our muppets were intercepted quickly by the police barrier though.

I thought Vale were alright, just offered little upfront.

We never offer much up front. [emoji30]Thought we deserved a point. Both vale and Coventry didn't have much in the way of clear cut chances on goal, Coventry had the only shot on goal. As for the trouble , it was started by some Coventry fans giving it the big en and our nobs obliged.

I think maybe we send Ikpeazu back and try and get a decent hit man in to replace as hes gone right off the radar now.
