Vale travel to the Coral Windows stadium unbeaten in the league and hopefully also in the cup on Tuesday night against Tiny Penis' yam yam 1954 FA Cup thieving bastards West Brom side.

I'd like to congratulate Heavensentcityg3nt from the Claret & Banter forum for winning **** of the Month, sponsored by Coral Windows (Best window licking in the North East or your money back!) Well done lad, £10 voucher for Wacky Warehouse is in the post.

Port vale somehow by predictive text writes **** game should've won - some boring games against them they make our tactics look like Real Madrids - they play long long ball and their fans I think believe they have gone to the library

2-0 Vale.

Offering 3/1 on TomPNE locking the thread by 7pm Saturday evening. Evens on Cas offering me outside. PM for details.

Massive game to come before this one and I guess a lot may depend on how much that takes out of us.

We've played the best football I've seen from us in my 15 years going Vale and look solid at the back with quality throughout so should be looking for three points from this.

Yesterday was the benchmark reach anywhere near that level of performance and we will get a positive result and that will be what decides if we have a mid table season or a top six challenge is keeping the level of performances up.

See how their full backs handle Andoh I guess don't know if they are pacey or not! Thought when Marshall went we'd struggle to replace yet found a player a league above sat in the reserves!

2-0 another clean sheet and Uche and Andoh to hit the net.

I just popped in and read the thread.

Those 3/1 odds are looking good value. My bet is odds on.
Or 3/1 thread closed within 24 hours :bg:

Another Vale thread about to descend into 5 pages of pure chaos.

We will take significantly more than 300. Unlike Bradford who have had plenty of sub 500 followings to Vale in previous years.

We don't play long ball anymore, by the way.

Yea did see that guys post haha! From a side that's spent years hoofing up to Hanson... Maybe send him a DVD from Saturday's game of our new high tempo passing style this season! Probably the key to us actually looking a very good side this season is that we are utilising that strong midfield of ours rather than them seeing the ball over their heads en route to Pope!

I reckon either Mr Phillips or Firthy will spontaneously combust with rage at some point during the match.

Firthy when the away attendance is read out, and Phillips when he realises his half time Bovril is a little too cold.

Bradford definitely aren't great to watch but I can tolerate them as a club...more than I can tolerate Swindon anyway, fucking hate them.

If they think we're a long ball team I think they're in for a shock.
However, as with all things Port Vale, I'm not going to get my hopes up as we have a great habit of deflating optimism.
What I would say is if we play like we did on Saturday then we will have too much for Bradford - we've got to do it consistently though and I can see us coming unstuck here as Bradford will be desperate to get a first win under their belts. 2-1 Bradford I think.

We have what i think is the best squad in this division (doesn't say much for the division though) and when we click we will be unstoppable. Unfortunately for you i think it starts on Saturday

Bradfud too much quality be struggling. however we are looking decent. take a draw and hope it is better than last seasons 1-1 where both sides were dreadful. 25 quid get in is a sick joke too. 1-1 again hanson and dodds.

I think most Vale fans dare not be too optimistic because we have a tendency to self implode whenever we just about to begin to believe, but so far this season we've been excellent and look a good footballing side. There's not too many sides in the league with a better defensive partnernhip than Ryan Innis and Remi Streete, the latter who is actually been kept out of the side at the moment due to the form of Richard Duffy, and also a trio of Grant, Foley and O'Connor (who's yet to even kick a ball for us this season!) in midfield. The chairman kept stating last season to only judge Rob Page once he had assembled his own team and so far you have to say it's a job well done as we're looking so much better than any hoof and hope for the best team Micky Adams assembled.

On to this game, Bradford have had a poor start but they have enough decent players to climb the league, that's for sure. It is amusing how some Bradford fan accused us of playing long ball in the past though when they have that big ugly Hodor up front in Hanson and aim for him at every opportunity! If we play like we did against Doncaster we'll win this game, I have no doubt about that. But maintaining that standard will be very difficult and right now I wouldn't be too devastated at all at a point and keeping the unbeaten run going in the league.

Recent history in this fixture says we'll control the game without converting only to concede via a stupid under hit back pass to the keeper or dodgy penalty, and lose

How many Tuesday nighters have we had at Vale in recent years?

The last two times we've been there on a Saturday, we've taken over a 1,000.

The most Vale have brought in recent years is 700 (barring the 999 they had in the cup, of which the club put on free coaches).

It did make me chuckle when PVFC contacted us to make us aware of a large Vale following in 2012. So we moved ST holders, and allocated them 3 blocks in total. They promptly brought 650, all of which could've sat in one block.

In recent history we've played relatively crap football. Under Page the side is playing some fantastic stuff this season and with the likes of Moore and Andoh supporting Ikpeazu there's bags of pace which scares the pants off any defender at League One/Two level. The one worry I have is converting the chances we'll no doubt create. We only scored one goal against Crewe and Gillingham and yet should have scored 4 or 5 over the two games, and against Doncaster it really could have been 6 or 7, but we had to settle for 3.

Firthy knows Bradfords away followings are massively inflated because the fans have so much extra money from only paying a fiver per home game :fish:

To be fair I doubt we'll face a keeper like the lad Stuckmann on Saturday! Any other keeper and we'd have scored 7!
