Comes out mid-April. Some early access footage doing the rounds on Youtube. Looks more like a spiritual successor to BB than a Souls game, which ain't necessarily a bad thing. Graphical fidelity also v impressive for 60fps (or thereabouts).

it's hard but rewarding, I love Dark Souls and Demon Souls on ps2 (or ps3 I forgot)

Demons Souls was PS3, one of my fave PS3 games. Never bothered with Dark Souls when it came out for some reason and now massively regret it, hoping they do it for PS4 like they did with Dark Souls 2. That said I'm definitely hyped for this, Blood and Wine and this are the only 2 things I'm really looking forward to this year tbh

Aesthetically it looks like Bloodborne but the YouTuber's who got 4 hours hands on say it plays a lot like Dark Souls 1

About two hours in. It looks so, so much like Bloodborne. My muscle memory keeps going to rally to regain lost health and so I'm getting merked a lot. Also that split second delay on the dodge really makes all the difference.

I started as a thief and lost to the first boss more than I'd like to admit. DEX build was seeming to be a bad choice at first but it's starting to get better now.

I played a few hours last night.

Superb, I died far too many times on the first boss but I put that down to sheer rustiness. This is definitely a game where you need to put it away if you're getting frustrated.

Lovin it

Started off as a Knight, currently level 30-ish, defeated the first 4 bosses.

Started again as a Knight because I originally didn't want anything to do with faith but have now changed my mind, also good for potential re-specs with even faith and intelligence and some good physical stats. Quite noticeable the difference in item drops between Knight and Thief (14 Luck)

Killed the boss in the Catacombs lastnight and can now buy the Holy Sword. Reminds me of Ludwigs from Bloodborne

I just got back to where I was with my previous character, basically starting RoS
I beat the first 2 bosses first try this time, but Whomping Willow took me twice as many tries.

In the swamp. I've been making short work of this so far. It's so much easier with a shield.

Finally beat the second boss after about 6 attempts. I'm trying to play it too much like bloodborne and paying the price.

Also found a guy who gave me a free level up!

I hate the catacombs.

Cool set piece on the rope bridge, though. A first for the series?

Anyone know where I can find a better weapon than my knight's longsword? When I say better, I mean one that looks more stylish.

The incline in difficulty from the Catacombs to Irithyll is fucking insanely steep.

Beautiful location, though.

Battle that scrawny little c*** outside the Firelink Shrine. He has a cool katana.

Also, put the odd point in luck. Item drops in this are good compared to previous installments.

So I am level 23. Found three or four friends, made friends with a giant archer.

Just at the tree, died a couple of times but the boss itself doesn't seem too tricky.

Have you got the week off or something? You're getting through the game pretty quickly.

I play any chance i can get really, some night's i'll be on until 3am without realising the time.

13 bosses slayed, level 66. Rocking a +8 long sword. I'm kinda stuck at the moment, i've lost sense of direction.
