How have Wimbledon lost that the clowns.

And Gillingham splashing the cash only to bottle it against everyone but us. They'll be Roy of the Rovers next week when we turn up, playing for every ball, 30s for every throw in.

I'd love to know who we 'splashed the cash' on in January, as far as I can see we merely bought some reasonable League Two standard players to get us up to a mid-table level side - we tend to beat the bottom sides and struggle against the top lot. The only player we brought in who is definitely better than a League Two player is Masterson on loan.

Our game at yours we just decided to play for a 0-0 from the outset, give some fringe players some starts (Coleman, Wright, Abrahams) and play a rigid, defensive structure that you couldn't play through, it was hardly 'Roy of the Rovers'!

Not sure why we're so different at home and away either, but 8 wins in 9 at Priestfield gives us hope we can beat anyone there. That said, most of those 8 were against mid-table or lower, I think it's only Carlisle we've beaten out of the play-off hopefuls.

Laps and Hawks left us for money they couldn't turn down according to Clough. We're not exactly small spenders either so imagine the wages they are on could be classed as 'splashing the cash'. Not sure i'd accept that from a stockport fan though

I know for a fact Olaofe was offered more by Gillingham than us in January but chose us.

Like you, didn't say we were small spenders and just like you with Lapslie and Hawkins- it showed they did splash the cash. They didn't make a secret out of it (their owner was making videos on "lucrative transfer window" in late December) and it's kept them up so it's not like it's not worked.

Poor game yesterday we were slightly better than recently not that impressed with Carlisle thought we shaded it until the sending off which was a red no arguments there.

Thought it was a soft red card myself, would have been furious if it was one of ours. Ref and one of his assistants were absolute clart IMO.

We were poor, no getting away from it - but should have had a penalty after Armer was hauled down as he was about to get on the end of a cracking cross from Dennis, and both Moxon and Barclay were guilty of missing a couple of absolute sitters. 0-0 the right score for a dull game, and we need to up our performance considerably for the run in.

Rochdale GK made 4 top saves, best goalkeeping performance for a long time at the Mill.

We only had ourselves to blame, should’ve gone for the kill at 1-0 instead of fannying around and taking dale for granted.

If Newport don’t fancy turning up today that would be massively appreciated!
