we should have started the whole youth team, not just two youth lads.

Really costly night getting more injuries.

I wonder if anyone can tell me whether Carlisle picked up any injuries tonight…

Sutton through beating Oxford 2-0. Decent result given we were much changed and they were apparently close to full strength. Managed to keep the crowd to 3 figures. An unloved competition but it’s been good for us in our short time up here. Good run outs for several fringe players which is pretty vital given our thin resources at the moment. Also back to back wins and clean sheets which should get a bit of confidence back after a tricky period.

Stags have already played their three games where as Man City kids have to play both Derby and Grimsby.

If Man City beat Derby tomorrow night then we are through.

It gets complicated if Man City beat Derby on penalties and then the final game of Grimsby vs Man City needs to be another Man City penalty win for the Stags to progress, any other result and Stags are out.
Man City kids beat Derby tonight 3-1, so Stags progress to knock out stage and Derby are eliminated.

Grimsby or Man City will top the group whoever wins in their final game either on penalties or after 90 mins.

We beat Villa u23 5-2.

Didn't go. People who did said it was an entertaining game and everyone seems to rate one of our youngsters, Jaydon Davies. Scored one and set up a couple.

Too be perfectly honest I'm not sure if that means we are through or not. I think Pompey could sneak through by beating whoever the other team in our group is....just checked Wimbledon.

We’re getting a bit of shellacking here, seems like Curle is making a point picking all of Hartleys useless signings.

Point proven with his post match interview, basically said what we all knew, Hartley signed a load of shite, he can’t wait for the transfer window to open and chase the useless c*** back up the road.

Lost 3-2 to Chelsea U21 after a 90min delay due to them getting stuck in traffic.

Our goals were and an own goal and a penalty from Aaron Drinan.

Both sides overall, very, very wasteful in front of goal with guilt edged chances missed from both sides thoughout.

All our subs we made were clearly all planned subs, whereas Chelsea when they fell behind made game changing attacking subs which ultimately won them the game with the subs combining both times for their last 2 goals.

The first goal we let in was a total shambles, from our own corner we somehow totally fucked it up and allowed them a free run from the halfway line which resulted in a goal.

Chelsea U21 I didn't think overall were that good, but they have quick technical players who will hurt you if you give them space to break in front of you.

We are out and I won't be losing sleep over this - the thought of having to go away to Plymouth in the next round is enough for me to be happy we're out.

I have to say I know this cup is a bit of a shambles and most of us won't lose sleep over it, but thats a really, really poor result for Hartlepool :ohm:

He played 9 of Hartleys signings tonight together from the off and chucked him/them under the bus afterwards, it was actually quite refreshing to hear a manager call a spade a spade, or in this case a bunch of useless Scottish wastrels.

We’re just treading water till January in the hope our tight arse chairman dips his hand in his pocket for new recruits.

No holds barred wasn't it? Don't recall too many post match pressers as honest as that. Just basically said the players who started are not good enough, must be moved on and if they don't get fixed up he still won't pick them.

Obvious plea to the board for funds in January.

Managed to exit the competition but had 2 red cards in the first half. The second was a complete farce, god knows what the ref was seeing. Rovers huffed and puffed and eventually managed to knock 3 past our 9 men.

My God, how right they were about Harries

And now is the exact time for the club to back the manager!!!

Give him a contract to show certain players hes going nowhere, BUT they are.

Yeah to be honest I don't think anyone else available would do a better job with what he's got. If we're only about 6 points from safety in Jan and he's backed with at least half a dozen proper signings then we might stand a chance.

Eliminated, but unbeaten except on penalties. A reasonable game last night, with not much to choose between the teams, except that Salford scored 50% more penalties than us in the shootout.

Downside is that Quigley came on as sub, picked up an injury, had to go off again and may be doubtful for Saturday. Upside is that Cameron John reappeared after injury, played left back and, contrary to the dire warnings in pre-season from Donny fans on here, looked reasonably useful...

Don't think the suspensions will count in the league, becaue this isn't a 'proper competition' it's just a training scheme for the PL academies in which we are forced to play our senior players.

Barrow afc should be THROWN OUT OF THE LEAGUE FOR THAT!!

It's one fan.

You ironed out 14 Hartlepool fans the other week. Should Carlisle be thrown out of the league for the actions of one fan?

Chuck us out of the pizza cup, please.

The pizza cup is as good as it's ever gonna get for your shitty little club.

I'd gladly like to see you back in the FA Vase again.
