I have seen you have been drawn against upper Ramsbottom in the Bury and district Sunday league.

Stop changing the subject.

Crewe at home the tie of the round.....televised 100k in the pot
They beat us pre season then again in two bob cup...........good pointer to see how far we have come
Tie of the round? You’ve really lost the plot. TV want non league at home to league teams - definitely not 2 league teams playing each other.

At least you won’t have the shame of a national TV audience realising just how far you’ve fallen.

away to Hayes and Yeading, whatever one of those is.
A team from 3 levels below. Can’t ask for much more than that at this stage. Should be an easy passage through to round 2.

Kings Lynn at home, guess with no fans it should suit us more and we should win with relative ease but we’ve had enough lessons in the past (Chasetown, Enfield, Canvey Island, Scarborough etc) to know it’s not that easy

Away to Tonbridge Angels (no, me neither), congratulations on their comfortable passage into round two.

Solihull Moors at home. Nice to play against one of our National League opposition for next season a bit early.

There’s absolutely no excuse for Port Vale not beating Kings Lynn considering the squad they have at their disposal.

Dan, Dan we are in the middle of a pandemic
TV can rock up at our ground plug a couple of scart leads in and off we go.Everything is set up in our Media room
The Days of 200 foot cherrie pickers and 3 miles of cable are no longer needed at these state of the art stadia.
Taxi from media city for a staff of 4 is all that is needed.
Teams that are 4 time fa cup winners with first class facilities will get tv time

on a sidenote i have heard Wellans is heading to Salford

Concord Rangers at home for us. Happy with the draw but not taking anything for granted given how poor we've been in recent times.

Wombles at home. A proper meh tie. The only decent thing about it is that it's not a team from this league or the one below.

One of my greatest FA Cup memories is of going to Hayes (before they amalgamated with Yeading) and beating them 2-0. They were National league level at that time and we were Southern league.

Its right by Heathrow Airport.

Torquay away for us. We got a bollocking from the TV pundits last time we were there in the fa cup. Our players and management (Evans and Raynor) were filmed having a right old go at the groundsman after he turned the water system on. It seems we shouldn't have been warming up on the pitch before the game.

They will fancy their chances at home and we hardly ever win away from home.

Absolute team of thugs - they'll kick lumps out of you and score 3 or 4 at the same time....

South Shields at home - it's the type of draw you want at this stage. Certainly won't be taking it for granted, but we really should be winning that comfortably.
To be honest if there was one non league side to avoid in the draw it was South Shields - they've a bigger budget than half the National League teams - they'll be in league 2 in 4 or 5 years...

sounds good - but about 12 of the 16 will probably played on the Sunday on the BBC's coverage with the programme going regularly from ground to ground - the clubs get very little revenue from the BBC for that.

Not sure if we still do, but at one point I think we held the record for being the league club knocked out by non-league opposition the most times. So I’m slightly nervous with drawing Fylde :err:

Those of us who have played at nl and nls level will tell you there is nothing easy for you there.

FGR away at Lincoln.
Tough tie for both teams.
Lincoln had a good run of wins against FGR under the Cowley brothers.
Prior to that FGR usually secured the better results.
Two teams vying for promotion out of their respective divisions.
Potential good match in the making and worthy of live TV. But I suspect that will not happen.
