That was turgid. Ibe's confidence is shot. Tiring & frustrating watching us.

If he actually tried to do something rather than run around like a headless chicken, maybe he'd grow in confidence. Sterling Mk II he is not.

His indecision is a by-product of a lack of confidence too though. He's nothing like the player he was last season. Fear is always worrying to see in a young player.

Group C seems to be the most balanced until now. About Dortmund and PAOK confrontation, the portuguese defenders of PAOK, Míguel Vitor and Ricardo Costa did really well.

Schalke is doing a good campaign but also having an easy life at Europa League, anyway it was a nice match from Franco Di Santo.

Liverpool started well against Sion but after the tie goal the game got kind of unassertive.

Spurs are through I think and played a pretty strong side.

Wonder how it will affect them for Sunday.

Monaco was messy today against Spurs and lost the chance to classify to next phase. On the other hand Spurs did really well mainly at the time Lamela was in since he could properly avail goal chances finishing with a hat-trick. Maybe there was the lack of a "reference man" on Spurs attack but all in all they could move a lot and give some work to Monaco's defence. Carroll's and El Shaarawy's goals were nicely scored too.

Surprised to see Besiktas go out.
Sporting had a much better bench which changed the game. Plus Sporting are on fire at the minute domestically.

well done Augsburg. they needed to score minimum 3 goals and to win with a two goal margin in Belgrad to proceed and even they were 0:1 down after 10 minutes they managed to turn araound the game with the tie deciding goal came in the dying seconds to manage a 3:1 win there.

Strong contingent of German sides and with Bayern running away with the league teams like Dortmund will be able to put a lot of their work into the Europa league....

Would like an easyish draw for this round of 32 (!) before hopefully getting someone decent afterwards.

Decent draw that. Beat Southampton in Qualifying but failed to win home and away against Club Brugge in their group. No excuses here.

Decent draw for Spurs and Liverpool too. Although I will admit i know very little about Augsburg

Augsburg, okay. Not an easy draw. They just beat Schalke this weekend.

Fenerbahce SK vs FC Lokomotiv Moscow
Considering what's going on between Turkey and Russia, there could be trouble here...

Augsburg I don't know anything about tbh but they are German so will be half decent. Pretty happy with it tbh it should be a challenge and one that will test Liverpool well enough.

Trip to Valencia for me, which is on the same day as Villarreal vs Napoli, which might make the afternoon, interesting.

Stadium looks fantastic, looking forward to it.

Not happy with what Napoli drew to be honest. Villareal are well capable of beating us. That said though, I do make us as favourites.

Dortmund vs Porto is probably the best tie.

Excellent, I was wanting a test for them in the last 16 but why not in the 32. Hope its a good tie full of goals and drama. This us where European football comes alive in the knockout rounds.

Why are Fenerbahce and Lokomotiv playing now in the Europa when the rest are on Thursday?
