Not sure about that. Stockport have some ok lge2 players journeymen who looked world beaters last night.
Quigley was ok no better at a Barrow team that just stayed up last season. Maddon is decent on his day.
Man for man far superior on the night then us
Was talking about the budget rather than the players, sure the wages of Stockport, Chesterfield and forgot to mention Wrexham is far above most teams in leagues one and two so the result is not that much of a surprise.

Your wrong EN a few morons can’t ruin a great performance by a club in our league. Gutted to be in this league but many teams support is far better than many efl clubs. No shame but great for the NL, get over your bitterness. Good luck in the next round Stockport and the other NL clubs still in
I was joking. Apologies, forgot to add 5 laughcrying emojis.

I have the impression that Madden is still living off that unbelievable season he had with Yeovil that got them promoted from League 1. Is that fair?

What a game that was. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Crankshaw's shirt getting robbed in the celebrations. Best rendition of "Insert team name get battered, everywhere they go" that I've heard. Doesn't matter what division you're in, beating a local rival in a packed out ground is class. Fully deserved by Stockport though, they were absolutely relentless. The farcical ending can go in the tinpot thread though, all that standing around to blow up early? At least it would have got most of the Bolton fans out and on their way before the Stockport fans left though.
Seriously, this game ain't over, this Bolton team are just boys ... :dk:
Good call!

He's been hit and miss this season, lacks pace and power but has popped up with goals and I thought he played well last night. Shows clever touches that are a beyond this level really.

Watching the game back his ball for Quigley 4-3 was superb, didn't appreciate that as much live and at the other end of the ground.

If we're to see the best of him it'll have to a double act of him and Quigley as they have the potential to compliment each other well. Both very different style of forward and certainly not like for like. They've linked up in Challinor's first 3 games well.

Going off last night, Madden seemed to be the one most likely to provide a killer ball/touch in the final third for me, everyone else seemed a tad greedy and were shooting on sight whereas Madden found himself in a few excellent positions and was overlooked by players going for glory. You can tell Madden has played consistently at a higher level but like you say he lacks a bit of physicality.

Tremendous advert for Non league. Even though I have always counted Stockport a league club. The cup money will be nice but surely there number one goal is to return to the Football league. Also the game lived up to all the hype and I was glad I watched it. Amazing two teams 3 -1 down at home in 2 days and both come back to win. Who says theres no magic left in the FA cup.

Good game last night, that way of playing isn't particularly sustainable in a league season for Stockport but it's great for those one off games where it's all or nothing.

Must say though, Bolton were particularly poor. Didn't offer any kind of game management or physical test to try and stem the pressure at all. Seemed very passive, hoping for another Stockport defensive clanger, which they probably would have forced if they tried something different to get a foothold in the game.

Congratulations. Belting performance from Stockport, in fact one which makes you wonder where they have been for most of the season so far and illustrates the value of getting the right voice in to inspire and lead the players that a club has.

Can they repeat it every week in the league?

I don’t know owt about league football anymore, was that Bolton’s first team? Surely not
I think that had one out injured and they recently lost their captain but apart from that I think that it was.

Not every week, but a heck of a lot more than previously. I think that it's quite possible that we'll get more points between now and the end of the season than anyone else but the dye may have already been cast and we'll have to settle for play-offs again. Could have done without ET last night as it'll be a difficulty trip down to Woking and we need plenty of rest after evening games - just ask Grimsby fans.
