I didn't think this game would be as much of a draw for our fans then the Sunderland game, turns out we've nearly sold out again within 10 hours. Although the ticket policy was once again crap and an online ticket system that didn't work has made quite a few of our fans angry.

Well we have sold about 2200 so far to season ticket holders only. They go on general sale tomorrow.Monday night if there is demand we will take another 1600 off you.If not then i am guessing they go on sale to Bradford fans.Decided to drive up Friday night and stay in the Bradford Travelodge rather than get up early Saturday morning.

I hope we take the extra allocation because I reckon we'll sell 3700+

Tickets went on sale on the back of two of the worst games not just of this season, but of recent memory for Reading fans (performance wise), so after a win and a bit of relief of any threat of relegation in the league it would be nice if we sell more.

What happened with the Bradford tickets? I heard that people were allowed to purchase more than they were supposed to (some up to 60 tickets) and this has lead to people selling them online for a considerable amount above the actual price?

Basically, it's the same as the Sunderland game. Season ticket holders and flexi card holders (pay £50, get matchday tickets half price) are allowed to buy as many tickets as they want. Whether that's through the ticket office or online. People were queuing up for over 4/5 hours apparently in an online queue. Luckily my Dad managed to get through and get ours because I'm not sure whether I could be bothered doing that!

In regards to the re-sale of tickets, if it's the same as the Sunderland game then your season ticket number gets printed on the tickets, if there are people out there doing that, then they will be caught.

Surely it would have made sense for Bradford season tickets holders to only be allowed to purchase their seat and no other tickets or maybe one other ticket for a friend.Saying they could buy as many as they like is crazy.Apparently some Bradford season ticket holders have missed out on getting a ticket.

I'm fairly certain we will take the extra allocation.Probably be a mad rush first thing in the morning for tickets.Hopefully one of my mates who is no longer a season ticket holder will get one.

Sold out the initial allocation within 20 mins of it being open to non-ST holders this morning, club now talking to Bradford to get the maximum allocation. We might sell out the full allocation at this rate, still seems a lot of demand and plenty of time left to sell them too.

Bradford City, 1.4m spongers.
The home ends are screwed. Some people have bought 50 tickets and are selling at £200 online. The club have royally fucked up here.

Clarke's decision to play 5 in midfield is a bit strange. This is the sort of game in which the midfield will be bypassed a lot, given the pitch.

Early goal for Reading essential, if not then it's Bradford's to lose!

Exceptionally Poor first half from us. Can see Reading grabbing a couple of goals early in the second half.

You're only as good as the pitch you play on. If that isn't a saying, I would like to claim it as my own...

First thing I thought why was everyone going on about the pitch, it looked alright aside from a few grass-less places, but it started cutting up immediately when the teams went out to train. There was only a few cases of the ball bobbling but you could tell the pitch was bad due to both teams avoiding using it. That really hindered us as our best midfield consists of two ball playing midfielders (who were reduced to lumping it forward today) and two players who like to run with the ball at their feet (which rarely could happen on that pitch).

Bradford probably edged it, and I was slightly nervous with their consistent pressure in the first 20 minutes of the second half, but I think we battled through it relatively well and limited them to only a few chances. It was clear that we came first and foremost to get a clean sheet and we definitely managed that. Yet again though we failed to do much when we were on top (majority of the first half) with just a shot that hit the post and a couple of long shots to show for it.

We have terrible home form currently (3 goals scored from our last 9 games) but the team have definitely been better in the FA Cup matches this season, and I reckon we'll get a good crowd with very cheap ticket prices and hopefully make it through. I would have taken a draw this morning, so pleased with the result.

Decent finish, good old fashioned pitch invasion - something about the FA cup being ALIVE!
