Do they do anything this round TV wise for this other than the BBC online thing? Or change some of the ties to a Sunday?

There's a BT Sport live game as well as a BBC red button one

Horrible potential banana skin for us at Bowers & Pitsea or Hornchurch. Can’t remember the last time we won in the FA cup.
My good mate plays up top for Bowers. Would've loved for us to have got them

Given how much the BBC love us (just look at rhe National League pages nowadays) it would be a surprise if they didn't choose our game. They do like staying around the SE though.

I think the fact that it's Marine might change things, they had their big TV game in January. If Atherton had won, your game would have been a certainty.

We could be quite a good shout for it being away at a team so far down the pyramid.

It’s a good draw to be fair, especially in the north. Any of the Wrexham, Notts, Chesterfield, Grimsby or Halifax games fit the bill of what you’d want in a televised game in this round.

Southend only opening one stand for home fans for the game against Chertsey. Looking at Chertsey FC twitter they are very pleased about the draw, their first time this far in the FA Cup and they're on some drive to get the whole town to Southend to support the team. Could well see more away fans than home!
I've still got my fingers crossed for a replay.

Chertsey are extremely well supported for a small town club.

Bromsgrove v Grimsby gets the nod as the BBC online TV game. A set of training bibs and a lamb awarded to each!
This game could be set to smash the BBC record viewing figures of 32.3M for the 1966 World Cup final.

Do Bromsgrove still play at the same ground as the BHL / conference days?

Yes, 12:30 Kick-Off and 1,000 tickets for Grimsby Town supporters. I think we were going to rest a few players for this, but that might all change now it's on the internet and stuff.

Why are Banbury in the southern draw, and Brackley in the northern draw... when Brackley is south of Banbury?

Because Brackley play in National North
But divisions like the Southern League Central Division are split up in the FA Cup depending on where the clubs are geographically - i.e. Hednesford in the north and Banbury in the south.

Also, if all Nat North clubs are in the northern half, how come we've played numerous southern sides in the qualifying rounds in the past?

All seems a bit of a nonsense to me. Why not just split it into a northern and southern half based on where the sides actually are geographically. Or better how about a north / midlands / south split.

I think yours is also based on the fact you drew with Hanley. We're in the south as we drew with Ware. I think we'd have been in the North if not

Fair enough... although that still could be seen as a second class status for midland teams, who carry the location of the team they've drawn against.

But how did you end up in the southern draw with Ware in the first place?

Your guess is as good as mine on that point. No idea honestly.

They weren't, Ware and Kiddy were in the Midlands section, which exists up to 3QR.
