Think Rovers won on an early visit, maybe our first , to Crawley, but don't think we've even managed a draw in recent encounters. Throw in our habit so far of capitulating to struggling teams; Scunny Mansfield... can see how this one's heading. Though we do need the funds from a cup run.

That’s right, we won on our first ever visit down there 5-2 and have left empty handed since.
I’d like to see changes to our starting line up. Duffy, Merrie and Watson performed very well as a midfield unit at Salford. Don’t know what’s happened to the Middlesbrough lad, but he’s got to be worth a try as we’re useless up front without the injured Hawkes. Joe Murphy was unlucky to lose his place.
Think I’ll be giving this one the swerve as its £105 on the train. May even go to the following Checkatrade game against Oldham instead.

Not been to Crawley yet, but pencilled in the league game in January as will be able to drag mates who live in the SE to the game.

Agree with you on team selection. Doohan’s looked ropey for a couple of games so Murphy in nets. Walker reputed to have failed the attitude test but think Micky should bite the bullet and pick him, while Merrie certainly merits some game time.

I won’t be going either. If do get to a game, which is unlikely, the most likely contender is Stalybridge to see how Jake Burton’s getting on

I suppose. But Garner doesn’t seem to think ‘striker’. He just thinks ‘attacker’. Could try Gilbert - he’s not had a look in lately.

How about that young lad who scored a hat trick last night in the FA Youth Cup - Levi Francis.

I’d definitely give Simpson a week off, though.

Every week from the press Garner gets asked about whether we need a second number 9 to give support to Simpson and he always replied about 'attacking players' and that we have enough to compliment him. That said I do worry what we would do if Simpson got crocked, we have nobody like him at all. I think he might go with Gilbert. Can always give Simpson 20 minutes at the end if it's not working.

We are through in the pizza trophy so could play Francis in that?

Looking at the fixtures with L2 teams, I don't think anyone is in a situation to be humiliated as much as we are. Everyone else playing lower league opposition is either away from home or playing someone at least from the National League System, or both.

We meanwhile are short odds to be beaten at home by a part-time team from the Ithshthhshthmmminnnmmian division.

Only the certifiable will be going to both games......

The FA Cup is important to us, as there does not seem to be any money available for January unless we have a cup run, offload players, or both.

I have no idea what tactics we will use. The 451 system has not worked since Hawkes got injured so I think Mellon will change things, but to what I don't know.

Leading Accrington at the break, sounds like we’ve had to work hard but scored a good goal and have dug in when needed.

Deservedly lead against Exeter 1-0. Theo Robinson with the goal. He's also hit the bar.

2-0 up now against a good L1 team. More than credible from us I would say.

Some decent efforts from L2 clubs in general elsewhere.

No upsets to League sides by the looks of things. Guess that's left to us.

They equalise in the 85th minute. Another game we should have killed off by now. Disappointing.

He’s a level above isn’t he. Another devastating second half performance from us as well.

Aye it’s just his first touch and intelligence. Way above what you would often see in the lower leagues.

Swindon 3-0 up at Crewe. Not really sure you’d call that an upset given Crewe are not good at all and Swindon away from home just nail everyone. Hopefully Mansfield can hang on at Sunderland too.

We’ve beaten as many league one sides as Crewe… where’s that troll now?

Concede then 30
Seconds later Cass gets a fourth!

Make that 5-1 Lloyd getting one. Wow what a result. This is a top half L1 club we’ve just done this to as well!

Well done Mansfield too.

Well done Mansfield too.

Absolutely lethal second half performance and shows we can do it against sides from the league above. 10 wins and a draw in 12 I believe, 3 or more goals scored in 6 of the last 7.

Hard not to get excited!

Another terrible game of football between two abhorrent football teams at the Sands Venue Stadium.

Both teams never looked like scoring, us scoring for them with an own goal sums us up

We’ve bummed Crewe right and proper 3-0. Should have been 6.

That Barrow keeper was living dangerously there on that long ball. Scott Brown kept doing that last season for us misjudging them, only difference is they resulted in a goal but Barrow got away with it. Barrow been decent enough otherwise.

Decent performance from us today and feels more like a defeat, felt like Wycombe underestimated us, gonna be really tough to get something from the replay.

Less than three thousand Yorkie Bars at Valley Parade?
How embarrassing - I thought you guys were a "massive" club. Just be grateful that 238 intrepid Grecians made the long, long trek Oop Norf to lift the total number to slightly less tinpot levels.
