This board is laughable at times

Did some of you lot see Chelsea’s line up first half… digging non league players out for ‘poor defending’ against the European champions fucking hell

Proud of my club today, absolutely outstanding Away support from start to finish, and what a moment for Asante to get his first goal since his 9 month ACL injury, was meant to be that moment! Phenomenal for the finances, memories to last a life time, and now it’s full throttle towards pushing for promotion back to the FL!

Alex Whittle is gonna be right up there for our POTY award, what a player he is!

Hope you enjoyed the occasion ODL if not the result. Also hope the travelling was OK and you had a safe journey and return.

A few years ago we lost 7-1 at Chelsea and our fans made it sound romantic, ‘great to get the goal’, ‘what a day out’ etc etc

It wasn’t any of those things, it was Fucking humiliating

Actually the first half was pretty decent, they scored two quick goals granted, but then Green scored a screamer (the only thing he did well in a town shirt for two years). We then matched them for the next twenty mins or so and was heading to half time still in the game.

Then Green did his usual and gave away a stupid pen just before HT, the rest is history.

Yeah at the end it was humiliating but for 20 mins in the first half I believed!

A very, very long day yesterday but also a very memorable one. It was only just over a year ago that the club was fighting to stay in the national league and maybe with it, fighting for the clubs very existence. So to get the chance to enjoy a day out like yesterday, i thank the trust and James Rowe for that.

As for the match itself, could we have defended a bit better? Possibly.....i think the occasion to get to a few of our players but actually, who cares? The Chelsea team was worth about £300m, to expect a 5th tier team to compete with them is ludicrous, they were on a different planet. I thought Whittle and Mandeville when he came on were both excellent for us though.

No embarrassment what so ever in celebrating a goal at 5-0 down either, an awesome moment.

Shout out to Kidderminster and (through gritted teeth) BW for their wins yesterday as well, flying the flag for us tin-potters.

As others have said, the moment I saw the Chelsea line up I knew our very slim chances had got even slimmer. Werner and Lukaku? Cmon Tuchel.

First half I thought Oyeleke and Gunning in particular were poor - Oyeleke is a Chelsea fan as are his family, so no doubt the occasion got to him. Gunning is just unfit.

Second half we did ourselves proud and kept the score line respectable. Brilliant day out.

Alex Whittle is a proper footballer.

Wrexham to put in a bid for Banks tomorrow.
How's Banks getting on these days? Looks like he really kicked on with career after leaving here, fair play to him

Took him time to find his role, but he suits our style this season perfectly. He plays really deep (sometimes even alongside the defenders) spraying passes around - the sort of player who could do that at any level really. Also scored 10 this season, though a number of those were penalties.

Worst possible draw for us would Cardiff away. Not being able to go would be horrendous

Amazing draw for Kiddy, get all of the exposure and TV money of one of the really big teams but with West Ham you can kind of still believe there’s that very outside chance of doing something as well.

Stockport County.
Great draw for Kidderminster. Absolutely nailed on for Telly that.

Shocking draw for Boreham Wood really, away at Bournemouth who are good but not glamorous and have a stadium size fit for League Two. Wouldn't begrudge the poor buggers getting put on TV tbf. But by god it will be a sympathy pick, that'll be a fucking awful game down there at Bournemouth.

Was a bit of a rubbish draw all round apart from the Kiddy game. Could really do with Forest vs Leicester to make a couple of very watchable ties for the neutral, annoyingly.
