What a fucking write off tonight is proving to be already. At the very least we needed to get through it without any injuries and Adenirans already gone off.

Lucky to keep it down to a 1-0 defeat, expect Evans will be off in the morning

Seems a strange move from the outside looking in, is that not the case?

We’re under a transfer embargo (which some people say applies to next season too), and we’ve never had any money to start with. Evans likes a chairman with generous pockets and it looks like Stevenage are being taken over by some consortium or other.

They’d only have to pay about 6 months of his contract up and to be honest, if I were him I’d walk too.

Comfortable 3-1 win over Northampton. Could have been 4 or 5. Exeter at home in round 2.

We were apparently absolute toss tonight, and Hartlepool deserved the win.

Which is disappointing, but it is what it is. Good luck to the Monkey Hangers.

Nice game to watch. Played by two sides who wanted to play. No nasty stuff, very few fouls and as a result Sarginson had a reasonable game in the middle. Can’t believe I said that last bit as he is persona non grata in Plymouth.

Amazing that 11k came out to watch a first round replay on a dank Tuesday night. Well played to the Wednesday fans who came down.

We played very well. The passing and movement was excellent. The goals came from defensive mistakes caused by our pressing.

Onwards to Rochdale.

Chant of the night where I was sitting “Better than you, better than you, San Marino, are better than you.”

PS Good to see Exeter doing well too.

I was at the Cheltenham v Gillingham match last night and must say that in the first quarter of an hour Gillingham’s defence was all over the place – so bad I expected an England / San Marino score-line.
Therefore credit to Gillingham that their defence did improve after conceding goal and astonishment to Cheltenham that they did not increase their lead.

At the end of game I took a close look at Cheltenham goalkeeper’s kit and it was still pristine clean !!!!!!
Not the most attractive of games but at £6 admission I’m not going to complain.

From just watching this one game, I suspect neither club will finish season high up League Table.

Funny incident just before kick-off: - A Gillingham fan complained that Cheltenham’s stadium was the worst he had ever visited and while the words were still echoing from his lips, security bundled him out of ground. He had taken a sly drag of his ciggy in a remote corner but was obviously spotted by CCTV.

BTW a question to any Cheltenham supporter: - Has the club changed the caterers?
The food was a lot better than on my last visit b4 Covid.

Probably the most comfortable 1-0 win I've ever seen. How it remained 1-0 I'll never know - their keeper played well, but we didn't really test him enough.

Gillingham were toothless, by some distance the worst team I've seen this season.

The ref didn't help either team either, but that seems to be a pattern this season throughout the League.

No - this will be the last year we use them though. They seem to have made more of an effort this year, but enough complaints have been made in previous years that I think they're done for.

Home to Hartlepool for us. Been years since we played them, we managed to miss each other as we swapped divisions!

Exeter made 6 subs last night so now being investigated by the FA. It wasn't a concussion sub so they could be thrown out the competition. We will be at home to Bradford if so.

Seems the ref told them the wrong rules!

Said they could make 6 or an extra one in half time rather than just 5.

Despite Stockport basically scoring 3 own goals (I’m old school that’s what they were), they have still been the better team throughout.

Stockport 6-0 Bolton
