Players sound about as arsed as the fans about this match.

Most frustrating thing here is that we're still to make a change, get Grant and Wright on surely?!

3-0 up and that flatters Grimsby. Safe to say our squad depth is better than the visitors.

Well yeah, you'd expect so. Your wage budget is about double ours.
Indeed you would but perhaps not to the extent it has today and it definitely wouldn’t have happened when we were playing Rusk ball.

I think there is a lot for you to be excited about. You were superb against Bolton in the FA Cup but I don't think beating us at the moment in the trophy really tells us anything we didn't know. 4-0 as I write this. The worrying things for us are that while our midfield and attack is makeshift, this is close to a first choice defence...and also the manner in which we've not been arsed at all about this. Do you have any idea why Lenny was sent off?

Swung an arm out at Palmer.

Finished 5 nil in the end. Nice and easy win against a very young Gloucester team.

6 senior players in the entire squad, emergency on loan goalie making his debut after signing last night and a bench with some players I hadn't even heard of. Think the average age of the starting 11 was 20! So yeah no contest, proud of them though.

Good job that was only the tinpot trophy nobody cares about, because its becoming increasingly harder to defend Hurst, but the players also have to shoulder the blame and start to figure what has gone wrong since October.

Dreadful game at the Rec, but we won and , unusually, progressed. Some team changes, but no-one impressed on a grey afternoon.
Woking up next, Wooohoo!

Perfect day for us really, out of this abomination of a competition that takes precedence over league games, John-Lewis banned for 3 games which is a godsend and Scannell got an hour in which is about 55 minutes more than I thought he’d last.
Happy days.

Scratch what I said earlier, not far off a full strength Notts side. Assume we’ve known that Chesterfield was going to be off for a while.

Covid had a huge say in our game today, They were down to bare bones and we had to play more first team lads then we would of wanted too.
We played some nice stuff today and scored some brilliant goals. Hopefully we can send the youth team out next round.
4.5k prize money for winning, pays Mullin for a week I suppose

Lee Mansell's registration wasn't approved in time by the FA, and no leeway given either hence why he couldn't take part today. The lad who came on in the second half for us (Jack Hill) is 16 years old.

Farsley 0-3 Southport

A very easy win for us. Farsley struggled to get a side together, starting a number of their under-23 squad and only having 2 players on the bench, so it was no surprise that is was as one-sided a game I've seen this season. Half-time was limited to 5 minutes though, I think both sides wanted the match finished before the fog got any worse.

12 games unbeaten in all competitions for us now. It had been a long time, but watching Southport is actually starting to become enjoyable again!

Beleaguered Wealdstone.

Totally shambolic first half of football with no pattern of play, players out of position and then slipping at every opportunity. The Youth GK we had in goal today was just not up to scratch, Needham Market’s first is saved by any competent keeper.

Better second half and we really should have equalised but all the credit to Needham Market today, they wanted it more than us. Hope they get a good draw on Monday.

Little bit of pressure on Stuart Maynard now, fans were not happy at the FT whistle.
