You can’t just petulantly slap the ref, though? Even if it is only on the arm.

Surprised it’s not £12 a seat but both sides would need to have agreed the price, will you sell 1200 seats? Can’t see it for a trophy game two months after your last visit which just about sold out for seats. £10 for home end terrace, don’t see many turning up for us if I’m honest, trophy is not a crowd puller.
Reckon we'll still sell 4-500

It is at most a booking, unless you're seriously interpreting that as "aggressive" rather than "intrusive" contact.

The ref did also put his hand out in front of Hesketh at the exact moment he was about to walk past him.

Yeah I'd agree it was a yellow, he's trying to get away from the referee more than he's trying to strike him in my view

Southend fans are officially mental. Excellent, but mental.

Bogey side Eastleigh for us at ML tomorrow, although they only have a pulse at home. Once they leave Hants they turn into a rotting cadaver.

Be interesting to see how McMahon plays this one with big games coming up and most now back from being sidelined, not ideal really two weeks between games for players who don’t start tomorrow with Stockport at home next week. Couldn’t care less if we lose I would rather we make the play offs and not have this to worry about, the midweek games that follow a long run in this comp can screw up your season.

Only going as the boy can’t miss a game otherwise I wouldn’t bother, great support from Southend again give it a couple of years and your enthusiasm for this comp might fall, could well be outnumbered for this with very big two homes the next two saturdays.

FC Halifax Town are more than welcome to priotise their league campaign tomorrow.

In all seriousness its a bit of a free hit tomorrow for us really. The lads must be relishing a go at the National League table toppers.

Firmly believe if BPA can cause the Shaymen problems then our frontline certainly can.

Should be a decent game. Going to stick my neck out and predict a 3-2 Alfreton win..

We only lose Trophy semi-finals, so imagine we’ll accidentally make it through with a reserve team yet again.

We played a slightly rotated side against BPA and I imagine we’ll do the same tomorrow.

Summerfield and Woods will probably come in for Green and Spence. Stenson will probably come in for Allen or Waters. Debrah and Swaby-Neavin may also come into the back 4.

Don’t think we’ll play a full team but strong enough to have a chance of winning the game.

When we equalised in stoppage time and won on pens at BPA our players didn’t look look particularly bothered that they’d won for what it’s worth.

Expecting us to put a strong side out, as a Wembley visit will be high on our owners' agendas. It may also save Parky's job if we fail to make an impression in the playoffs. Mullin won't play though.

Strong bench for us today including Madden, Quigley and Sarce. Hopefully they won't be required.

20 mins to go and our first choice XI are still holding Needham Market 1-1 at home.

Lost 7-8 on pens to Needham Market. Not exactly the confidence boosting performance Sarll was after.

Not a classic, entertaining enough but very bitty game with so many changes. Always good to see Eli tearing things up, though.

Hopefully a home draw next round
