What's in the notepad?

Potential Fallout 4 character builds and equipment customisation ideas?

Neat little 40 second 720p clip of some PS4 footage of the game. Sort of assuaged my fears about the framerate. If, as they say, it runs at 30fps on consoles, it seems to do it smoothly (bar some mild framerate drop as he enters the hole in the wall). At least in interiors and without anyone else on screen and, er.... basically I just wish Konami would make the FOX engine available to third party devs, cos I don't think I'm ever gonna get over how lovely and smooth MGS: PP is to watch and play.

Same. I was gonna get it from CD Keys because it was £10 cheaper, but you don't get the code until release day, so with my shit internet I wouldn't be playing until later in the week if I don't preload it!

My Dota 2 items amount up to about £8, fucking :brill:

They changed most item 'drops' months ago to make them non-tradeable. Bullshit because I've had some sets drop recently which used to sell for £40

This might be a stupid question, but can you not buy new games directly through Xbox live, therefore removing any need for waiting for it through the post?

It activates at midnight on Steam, right? I'm at work all day tomorrow, literally, so I won't get to go on it, balls! I have pretty much all day Weds & Thurs to blast on it though. Are there are reviews out as yet?

Ain't it just. It's one of just three games that I've really looked forward to this year (the others being MGS V and Halo 5) and it just can't come soon enough. I still need to preorder it actually... should probably get around to that at some point soon

I'm off on Holiday on the 14th though... so I need to squeeze in all the Fallout I can before that date. Which is why I want to order it from Shopto or somewhere that'll probably get it to me a day or so early...

Can't you just play it when you come back from holiday?

You can, but they're usually massively over priced for some reason. Plus you wouldn't be able to play them until midnight, whereas at least with ordering physical copies in the post you usually get it at least a day early, if not before. In fact, Fallout 4 is the first game I've not had early since (I think) Halo 4, which only arrived late because Amazon actually left a whole fucking sack of Halo 4's behind instead of sending them off when they were supposed to.

Yeah, I can. But I always hate going away just as a game like Fallout comes out! I went to Dubai just after GTA V came out a couple years ago... Just seems a little sad to be sat on a nice beach in the blazing sun on holiday while quietly thinking to myself "I wanna be playing Fallout 4 right now"

But nah, honestly, I'm sure I'll be fine. Fallout will wait.

Been clicking on steams on twitch all day and then thinking "why the fuck am I doing this to myself" and then closing them and going back to trying to find more of Bob Ross.

Ah OK, that makes sense. I've got a few weeks off work so I'm going to complete the Witcher, then get Fallout 3 to see what all the hype is about.

So my girlfriend wants to create her own save when I get it despite not being a gamer in the slightest. I am glad that she is showing an interest in my hobbies but I don't think she really understands just how much I'll be playing this game...

Then there is the risk of her accidentally saving over your save. You are a brave man if you allow this to ahead.

My missus has absolutely no interest in computer games, as a rule. Even games with great stories and unbelievable cut scenes better than most stuff on TV, are just 'that silly game'. She says this whilst sat watching the most shite rammel on TV you've ever seen. She just writes any game off instantly on the basis it's a game. It's mind-boggling.

Apart from that she's orate

What sort of games do you play in front of her? My gf has quite enjoyed watching me do some quests on Witcher III and TT's TWD games in the past. Think she enjoys the idea of affecting the narrative in story-driven games, but I reckon the shooting, crafting and such will put her off FO4 in the end. She fucking hated watching me play Dark Souls.

I've had The Witcher 3, GTAV and a few others on when she's there. But to be honest I tend not play games when she's around, or very rarely, as we're either doing something or catching up on TV shows. She's been known to chuckle at some of the dialogue on Witcher 3, but otherwise she'll just grab a book or something if I am gaming and not take any interest in it, but I soon feel bad and turn it off /alphamale

I've tried to give her an understanding of certain games that I like to watch tournaments for on Twitch, and she pretends to feign interest bless her but it's akin to her showing me some new clothes or shoes she's bought 'yeah looks great hun'
