Absolutely battered a desperate Weymouth outfit to hopefully give us a boost in morale.

Bromley though for fuck sake. Wanted to avoid them but at least we're at home.

We were in cruise control throughout, how Danny Elliot never got a goal this afternoon I'll never know, really impressed by him, would love it if he was here next season.

Would've preferred anyone but Bromley but I'm still confident of beating any team at our place.

Maybe.

Maybe we’ll see you next season if you win the 3 games you need to win to earn the right to play us x

Cuts deep. And the kiss at the end there.....you rascal!!

For what it's worth, i don't expect to do anything in the Play-offs, injuries have taken their toll on us and we're scraping by at the moment.

But we were 22nd when Rowe took over in November with something like 7 defeats from 9 so just to be here is a pretty big victory in itself.

Up the Blues!

Thought this season would be nailed on for 2 BELTS to go up. And now it could be Sutton & Bromley
My money's on Bromley, easily the strongest team, mentally and physically. Chesterfield won't get past the first round, nowhere near strong enough to go all the way, Notts too fragile mentally. HAHAHAHartlepool, Torquay and Stockport all beatable.

That's it from me, see y'all next season chaps..... Who'm I kidding, I love it here, I'm going nowhere. :woot: :ds: :bdick:

You’ve have to feel for Wrexham. Always let their fans down but absolute credit to those fans because they don’t moan about it, they know they’re never getting out of this division. Master d’s tears currently destroying his deadpool face paint and he still posts on here. How can you not respect that. They’re a good bunch
Bit I'M here too...... Just saying. :box:

Congrats Chesterfield. Don’t think they deserved to win on the day but took their chances where as we missed two sitters. A draw would have been fair imo but it would have been irrelevant for us anyway given it was a must win game.

Never realised how much they relied on long ball and set pieces. But fair play, set pieces in particular have been a thorn in our side all season so clearly did their homework.

From what I’ve seen of the playoff teams this season, I’d be massively surprised if it wasn’t Torquay, Stockport or Hartlepool that won the playoffs. Not been impressed with any of Notts County, Bromley or Chesterfield anytime I’ve seen them.
Our injuries have limited us in the way we play definitely. However, it’s not a bad trait to have to be able to win in different ways and as you say today we’ve shown that

I’d also be surprised if we win these play offs due to our injuries. A fully fit squad I’d be confident going in, but if Danny Rowe’s injury is a serious one (tbf it didn’t look too bad) then that’s our best 3 strikers all missing for the play offs.... any team would be struggling with that!

Mandeville stepped up today though with a goal and assist. That’s two good games in a row for him and hopefully he can maintain this consistency because on his day he’s a match winner for sure

Ha.

If you don’t go up this season i think you’ll be serious candidates next season, you’ve been on unreal form.

Kinda what we did, had an unreal end to the season before and followed it on the season after (though still a slow start). I can’t see grimsby or southend bothering the top spots either.

To be honest given what the last years been like that football clubs are still knocking around is the most important thing.

I mean one of our strikers hasn't played all season and Hyde's only played half the season. I'd rather you stayed down as I you'll bring big numbers next season

I think that's fair. On the balance of play a draw would have probably been fair. We spent fair amounts of that game defending and not looking particularly like we were going to go on to win. We just took our chances better than you took yours and that was it, I think 2 pretty evenly matched teams.

I'd be fucking astonished if we won these playoffs, really can't see it, I don't think we're good enough, but you know what we're in them and if you'd told me that when we're sitting 22nd earlier in the season I'd have laughed at you, so fair play to the manager and the Trust for such a big impact in such a short time. There's a good feeling back around the club and I haven't been able to say that for years. And sod if you never know, right?

Yeah it was a kick in the teeth. Think we have the hardest game.

Having said that we battered them in the home game way back at the start of the season just couldn't finish. Think they have a new manager and are going well so different beast this time.

As for Elliot, he's really good. Could improve his finishing but just the sort we need to sign up. Young and from a lower level keen to prove himself. Good fit for us under Challinor.

Can relate to the injuries, we’ve had Hyde missing half of the season. Stenson who was meant to be his strike partner played 15 minutes before doing his ACL. We’ve gone through about 10 different strikers due to injuries/parent clubs recalling players.

Summerfield missed about 2-3 months. Earing our best player imo has missed the final run in of games. It’s been a tough season for everyone injuries wise but I bet yourselves and us have probably had the worst luck.

Yeah sounds rough for you lads too. Had Asante and Hollis not got injured for us I genuinely think we’d have been pushing towards those 2nd and 3rd positions. We were flying at the time until those hit and since then we’ve absolutely limped over the line!

Everyone has suffered key injuries this season, because of the constrained schedule clubs haven't been able to allow players normal recovery time.

As for the playoffs ill be stunned if Stockport don't win them, easily the best team of the lot, although there is always scope for a wild card.

It says a lot about Rhys Murphy that he couldn't be bothered to be at our last game today. He's a great striker (when fit) but he's a mercenary.

What’s with the Bromley bigging-up ? Let ‘em know you’re not keen to play them will only make them strut around like the cocks they are.

Bromley were rubbish when we played them a few weeks ago, have they suddenly become some super team or something?

No score bore draw with Torquay. I guess they were saving their legs for their proper game next week, but they didn't look at all special, kind of on a par with Eastleigh the other night. I see they've now gone 4 without a win, that would be somewhat worrying for them.

Stockport draw loads don’t they, biggest threat is probably losing on pens.

Just big, organised and a threat at set pieces. We were comfortably better than them for an hour today but when it became clear they had a chance and just needed the winner, they really stepped up the intensity and started piling men forward, which we didn’t look particularly interested in trying to match them on.

Please don't let them shithouse their way into League 2, like a Proto-Euro 2004 Greece

It's a real possibility, they've a resolute defence and have been pretty efficient in front of goal against us twice in the last couple of weeks.

Chris Bush as Dellas, Michael Cheek as Charisteas.

That's why they bother me, big and direct with shady antics. They're our bogey team as well. Would much rather have Chesterfield or Notts. But we are very good at home so we at least have that going for us.

Lawson D'arh suffering a horrible injury again today just sums up this season completely. I'm so glad it's over, it can get to fuck

Last week at the Rec we matched them football-wise, but were outdone physically, and eventually mentally. They just upped a gear and went for it, and got the winner. Admirable team spirit, Michael Cheek still doing the business. Some unpunished brutal tackling.
Good luck.

If Maidenhead can shithouse Hartlepool at the Victoria then Bromley definitely will, sorry lads.

As for us versus Chessie, it’s going to be tight!
