After their fans showing in the FA trophy semi against Nantwich when a number of their knuckle dragging inbreds caused havoc, damaged a stand and caused damage in Nantwich I'm delighted that they've gone back down a level. They deserve that.

Our Twitter guy has said there were Halifax "fans" on the pitch after the game trying to get to both Macc fans and players. To be honest I'm quite happy they've gone down.

Got handed a free ticket when queuing in ticket office. Thank fuck for that. A waste of 3 hours was enough without wasting money as well. Poor game.

Finished off with a bang, although didn’t look likely at half time whilst still goalless, had a very boring end of season feel to it up to then.

Attention turning to the interviews next week now, personally hope McCarthy gets it, he’s done well the past few games making good decisions on the pitch and has the players on his side.

Honestly even our supporters hate our 'ultras' who think they're hard just because they watched Green Street a few times. There's the group that come to create atmosphere which I have no problem with. It's just the ones who come to start a fight who I hate.

Hopefully for you they'll lose all interest in a lower league.

North Ferriby United 0- 1 Alfreton (Smith 65)

Final Match Report in a match Thread. Due to popular demand I will stick to the Conference North thread from next season.

So all those having a hissy fit can calm down :)

Standard end of season game. Ferriby not at all really interested and obviously have an eye on the play offs.
We were much the better side and deserved winners.

13 games unbeaten away from home now. Fantastic Record.

Gutted for Halifax. Really thought they would survive. Cant wait for another Visit to Alty though. Love it there.
Very strange feeling for when we play each other next season. Only feels like yesterday we were playing each other in a fight for the playoffs

Amazing how times fly and fortunes change isnt it. Problem for you guys is you wont have Lee Gregory to fire you out of the North this time.

They were the ones that caused trouble at Nantwich. It was odd in that 80% of Halifax fans were decent, nice folk with a good knowledge of football and hoping they'd someday return to the league after being given a bad deal by previous owners.

The other 20% good lord. What complete and utter wankers

Guiseley sure know how to keep their fans in suspense/despair/elation!
What a final game of the season, absolutely fantastic. Players and fans all awaiting news from Halifax after the final whistle followed by scenes of jubilation. Incredible :D
I honestly thought we'd blown it at Boreham Wood. See you guys next season, hopefully we have learned a thing or two this season and won't be in a relegation scrap next time.

I think we could be stuck for a very long time. A lot of competition in the Conference North now and I think a lot of teams will have bigger budgets than us.

We've had a couple of run ins as clubs over the last couple of seasons, probs best they get rid of all he knobs from the stands and the cloggers in the squad. Shame really as they travel in decent numbers and we always need the money through the turnstiles!

When we were down in the conference be played Halifax when they were in the northern premier in the 4th qual Round. We were lucky to win 1-0 at the shay and truth be told we were outplayed and they were unfortunate. What wasn't good was the trouble before the game, being in a pub when some walked In with ski masks giving mansfieldfans 10 minutes to get out- which they didn't.

Why are there fans like this? I don't doubt for one second Halifax are the only club to have this blight, but really?

Most teams have them - looks like Wrexham's were up here today, while for us there were an abnormal amount of chavs masquerading as Barrow fans. But it's the blokes 40+ that are the worst, who probably missed the 70s football violence, but heard stories about it from their (brain dead) dads.

Guiseley sure know how to keep their fans in suspense/despair/elation!

Glad Guiseley stopped up - one of our most local games in the division, just a straight trip down the A65. Has the ground been brought up to scratch then?

Not a bad way to sign off. We'll be back.

Sad to see you take an opposite direction after that final day the other season. A decent club with decent fans and ran properly. A sad sign of where things are going I suppose

I think I put in another thread that Wrexham were the team that impressed me most this season - today they were terrible. Three of our defenders I barely noticed were on the field. I can only recall one great chance where a forward seemingly missed an open net from a few yards out. Same as the away game, I thought Fyfield was brilliant again - the opposition player that has impressed me most this season!
Cook scored another 2, making it 25 for the season. I have a feeling he's off though, so he'll be difficult to replace. Even though today's match didn't mean a lot, if we can have a solid start to next season, we should be in or around the play-off places.
