Desperate to see what Politic can do post injury. Surprised he’s not been involved yet unless he’s genuinely still not fit.

Was hoping to have seen him by now also. By all accounts he has looked very sharp in training, all the more reason to play him.

To be honest some of it has been unfortunate with circumstances as for example at Stevenage we had to make some early changes at the back so couldn’t bring him on when the game was crying out for it. Last Saturday I think he could have made a difference but we hamstrung ourselves by a double sub at half time one of which included Rodney who put in a shocker.

And there I was thinking it would be taking a point away at the table-toppers in our fifth away game out of six.

Swindon must enjoy L2, it seems everyone has the motto of ‘we always lose to Swindon’
Yeah. We really enjoy being a club that’s a pimple on football’s arsehole!

It’s a shame we had Bolton in the Pizza Cup as that would have been the ideal game to get him some game time and up to speed.

I’d like him to play today but it’s difficult with the set up we have to fit him in at the moment unless we go 4-4-3 or 4-3-3 but DC prefers the 3-5-2

Hopefully, Jonny Williams, fresh from playing for Wales in the World Cup qualifiers, will start today. He should be up to speed now.

We have no manager today due to personal reasons, I believe the last time this happened was also against Exeter away when Cox was out due to Covid.

We lost 3-1 that day but did have almost our entire starting 11 missing.

How is Ed Upson getting on? Seemed to have a half-decent game every 10 for us, albeit in L1
Upson is a good addition - steady 7/10 most games so far. Couple of MOTM too. Surprised he left Rovers.

Clough onto the bench for Alessandra, and hopefully a more competent first half this time.
It’ll be competitive as we saw in the first few games of season when we played pretty much that team. The problem with that front 3 is it’s a bit toothless, just don’t think that combination works as a front 3.

Abrahams into the middle I presume.

I'm presuming clough was in the middle against salford, but that was hard to tell

Sid Nelson out for a while with knee ligament damage. Described as a stand and twist injury with no one near him which sounds very ACL to me.

Canavan out means we’ll pretty much definitely concede, means we’ll need at least two to win which I wouldn’t trust our lot to do given how badly we finish.

Just wasn't good enough for league one imo, games tended to pass him by. Always a judgement call whether they can play well in the league below and I guess he is proving he can.

I thought it looked like a 4-4-2 at times first half against Salford, Riley wide right. Dickenson left, Clough alongside Abrahams. Think that’s what contributed to Salford getting on top, dominating the midfield area where we had Guy and a very restricted Mellish. Think Riley tucked in at times but it was so disjointed and we just never got going that half.

It’ll be 4-3-3 today which as a formation I prefer, as you say Abrahams down the middle, but alessandra will be back to looking lost, not seemingly knowing what role he’s supposed to be doing.

Few injuries for us, no Amoo, Walker or Amos, think we’ve only got 6 subs!

At least McKirdy isn’t in their squad to score against us!

Matt Jay has scored in his 3 appearances against us and I expect more of the same today.

Also seen Dieng plays for Exeter, biggest cheat I've ever seen play. Still can't believe his dive last year which got him a 3 game ban.

We’ve gone 3-5-2 again but only actually have one out and out centre half playing! Jones and Cass are mainly full backs but can play there, unless it’s 4 at the back and Mal Benning on the wing.

Nothing much in it so far at the Orient, but good to see solidarity chanting between the two fans against Abdullah/the EFL

Come out having a go at least so far. Problem is we did this last week where we were exceptional to start before gradually fading in the game. Need to keep the standards going.

Mansfield haven’t got a clue, we’ve just conceded the most embarrassing goals you’ll ever see.

Hewitt for the first goal deserves a fine, it was schoolboy stuff; ball over the top and he couldn’t be arsed or he’s just shit so couldn’t handle it.

He's made a few mistakes this season been wasteful like the rest of us but I like Abrahams, he's got something about him, seems to have a lot of spirit.

He's still young so if he works on his finishing I think we could find ourselves with a good striker on our hands

Well that’s the defeat. There’s no way this team is scoring 1 let alone 2 goals
