Not a bad point for us but a really disappointing goal to concede, fair result overall though. We've been competitive in every game even if the results haven't quite come for us yet which is encouraging.

Looks like Liam Palmer is playing centre back today. Hutchinson, Gibson and Dunkley all out. Will be impressed if we can keep another clean sheet.

4-6-0 for us today because we don't have a striker available.

73% possession for us but doing nothing with it so far. Cambridge well organised and look dangerous on the break. Ref has been shocking for both sides.

Comfortably the better side against Morecambe. We’ve hit the bar and had a few balls whipped across that have nearly been turned in but Morecambe have defended well. Wouldn’t mind Wing on for Byers for a bit more creativity.

What a shithouse of a win that is for Morecambe. We did everything but score and the winner was a scabby own goal from a corner.

We seriously lacked quality in the final third today and I feel like Moore has to take some responsibility for that. His insistence to play players that aren’t wingers on the wing is an odd one. We had Marvin Johnson at left back today while Jaden Brown, a left back, played in front of him.

Ref had a shocker both ways. We rode our luck at times but we work hard, well organised and I’ve seen enough now to feel we’ll be ok this season. Bolton a lot of the ball but the quality was off today. Your right back Jones had a lot of the ball but so so poor.

How good was the battle between Ironside and Santos?

Wasn’t it similar last season with injuries around the time you played us on Sky? I seem to recall Scully shoehorned doing a lone role up top and being run into the ground. He worked really hard that night.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Lincoln with with our association with MApp. No doubt once injured/ill players return, they’ll hit form.

As expected it was largely all one way traffic (considering only five subs were made available) and the lack of options was telling. The last five minutes of the game was a cause for concern, otherwise a solid performance. The only disappointment was the lack of a clean sheet which was a minor frustration.

By the way, I thought Liam Bridcutt was excellent. He looked a cut above (no pun intended!).

Can’t disagree, we’ve only got about 14 players (a few having to play with injuries) and a transfer embargo.

Yeah, positive Covid's then transpiring players played with Covid as well. Robinson probably thought Appleton was bluffing for this afternoon but it's genuinely as bad as it sounds.

The 5 on our bench today included the young 'keeper, a 17-year old youth RB and a player who only usually appears for cup games.

Not an unexpected result because we're missing 5 of our strongest XI. That said, it also feels like we've taken two steps back. Last season, even when not at full strength, you could still see the patterns of play and stayed in games but this season we look so disjointed and off method.

Hopper was due to play today but got an impact injury in training yesterday, which sums it up at the minute. It sounds like we *might* get four or so back in a couple of weeks.

Firstly, lovely result for us.

Second point, I think there is an argument to go back to 5 subs temporarily with Covid & injuries meaning players can't be rested/rotated.

Yeah. We really struggle against teams like that. Well organised and just hit us on the counter. We were much better second half but still lacked the end product. It was just one of those days. I like Ironside. Reminds me of Kevin Davies… fights for absolutely everything

Great result for us.

Glad to see the plucky teams at the bottom of the table like Ipswich picking up important points towards safety.

Both players were for a second yellow, the other red was for the delightful Paul Raynor.

After their sub keeper attacked him for which he was also sent off

There was a confrontation between David Davis & the Gillingham player where Davis threw a full on punch from what I could see. The Gills player got sent off whereas ours was shown a yellow. Steve Evans then hit the roof and was going crazy at the referee who then changed his mind and gave our player a red card (rightfully tbf). Cotterill reacted badly to Evans and had him by the scruff of the neck, then Raynor came out of nowhere and barged Cotterill. This pissed off Harry Burgoyne our sub goalkeeper. Burgoyne who’s a big lump at 6ft4, then went straight to Raynor and put him on the deck with ease. Not punching or kicking just pinning him down. He then got a red card. Complete bullshit red card to be honest as he’s just sticking up for his gaffer. Evans was a complete and utter twat all game. I swear he’s not all there mentally that bloke.

You miserable sod, this was a magnificent win for Morecambe and whether it was lucky or not nothing can take away the fact that Morecambe ( Only promoted last year ) beat Sheff Wed ( relegated form the Championship ) last year. You Shrimpers celebrate, we'll hear them in Fleetwood !

Should be a good game against Fleetwood tomorrow. Whilst they have a couple of good players, Jordan Rossiter and Callum Camps for example, they do look weaker on paper this year than usual.

We’re still without James Wilson due to late suspension after the Cambridge game, as well as Danny Mayor, Niall Ennis and James Bolton. George Cooper is back on the bench but nowhere near match fit.

I’ll go for a 1-0 win. Broom to score.
This sounded like an evenly fought game and a draw a fair result from both games. Be interested to hear from Plimuth fans, for the Cods a good result and a further steadying of results as we claw our way up the table ( but not by much )

Yep. According to some of your lot that was the best you've played and I think that was the worse 90 minutes we've played. Funny old game, but 3 points is 3 points.

Will take that all day, don't care how scabby it was, it's a massive win for us. After Byers hit the post from distance, they never looked like scoring again.

Wednesday looked a very good passing side but Robbo got his tactics spot on in the 2nd half.

Hard fought 1-0 win against an impressive, but toothless Portsmouth. To have been second best for large periods of the game, but still take three points is an extremely positive sign. Ten points from 12 now since our loss at Sunderland on the opening day going into a much needed two-week break.
