Our final ball is poor, Bradford haven't done much since they scored the second but they haven't needed to.

These commentators are hoŕrendous

You got the Radio Stoke commentary? If so Bowers and Sproson are not great, they’ve been worse than today this season though. Not sure what Crookes and Taylor will think of their agent not knowing the difference between them on our third goal.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence since Gibbons and Monty gone off this second half has been pretty poor from Vale. Just got to hope that Montys is not as bad as he was looking.

Were going down, unfortunately no way could we sign a whole new squad in Jan and we needed too. Only players that are any good at football are the new signings the rest haven't got a bloody clue.

Couldn’t believe what I was watching, big hoof straight from the kick off and we let it go and their guy dinks it past McKeown. I feel like I’m in a bad dream it’s just pathetic.

Got to be happy with the point after Ebou getting himself sent off but grateful that injury time effort for Cheltenham was offside. Thought they sabotaged themselves at crucial moments too often and tbh wasn't really backs to the wall ever, not that we threatened ourselves.

We got lucky that Morecambe missed a pen but can only assume the red card was warranted and they only have themselves to blame for that. In the end we dominated the game and fully deserved the 3 points which is a cracking result given Morecambe hadn’t lost at home in the league since October.

That’s 4 wins in a row and up to 5th now. Not looking back for Keith Hill’s Rovers!

Switched off twice at the start of both halves and it cost us. Both sides created as much as each other and on the face of it a draw would've been a fair result. But that's been the common theme this season.

Even though he's an attacker you'd rather have Josh Kay off the pitch when you're chasing a goal, he gets frustrated, gives away needless fouls and doesn't fucking pass.

Huge win. Foot of the gas second half and took key players off, especially the ones just back from injury.

Pissed off to concede. Rodney was careless and could of done with the clean sheet. Frustrated Monty appeared to get injured just as he was about to be rested. Hope it’s cramp but doesn’t look good.

Chuffed for Manny.

Crazy season...

3 wins in 18...

6-3
3-0
5-1

I really wish I was born in a different fucking town, not sure how much more of this shit I can take, our defence just manages to outdo itself every week.

2nd, 3 points off top spot with 4 games in hand, 3 games in hand over the teams below.

If we can get our match sharpness back fairly soon we’ve got a great chance of pushing on. Have to get that rustiness out though as there’s no way we’ll get many more results playing like we did today without the ball.

What an incredible day of results for us, the games in hand don't look quite so intimidating anymore. Two loanees played a big part today, biggest concern for us us our top scorer looking out of sorts, but when you can get 3 with that factored in then can't help but be encouraged.

2 very entertaining games against Crawley this season, good team and thought they were going to do us after the equaliser for the 20 minutes following before we got back into the game. Just not sure they're a team that will be able to chase a game, never really looked like they were going to break us down second half despite having a lot of the ball.

Stevenage had two chances and scored them both. To be fair we only had 3, but that was a game we should have won.

Matete is the only decent thing we have had to shout about this season, involved in everything and gives players around him confidence.

Other positive was Payne, on the pitch 15 mins and already scored as many lge goals as Green this season. Not sure on Menayese yet, should have done better with the first but it was Rose's fault for giving it away in a stupid position. Waterfall and Pollock poor for not organising themselves better for the second.

If we can't defend better it won't matter how many we score if we ever do. We need better, I've changed my mind on earlier in the season and if we somehow stay up, I think we need a total clear out and the original 7 or 8 I was happy to keep is down to about 2.

Cambridge fully deserved the win over Crawley. The wind and the pitch ruined most of the good play from both teams but Cambridge dealt with it better.

Obviously Watters gone and with Nadesan injured we looked toothless up front. Though why we play with Nichols on his own up there is baffling. For all his attributes he aint a lone striker.

Crawley never lets anyone know of injuries. I have no idea if that midfield was put out due to injuries or Yems had a brain fart but we had two right backs on Tuesday (v Bournemouth) neither were in the squad today! Francomb playing there was OK but we miss his 'getting around the pitch' ability in midfield. We were too lightweight.

Jordan Maguire-Drew, Josh Wright, James Tilly and Davide Rodari made their league debuts for Crawley today. Thats probably why we looked so disjointed.

The next game is the most important.

Game was obviously a done deal at half time but definitely let the standards drop markedly second half. No major issue today with the result but looked like the same old Vale have seen all too often this season so not going to read much into it other than got the points against a team who just weren't up to the task from the start.

Good strike from Ferguson for them. Not that you'd know it the way Sproson was ranting on about Rodney on commentary for the remainder of the game. Yes he could potentially have made a different decision but with him that's just something you have to allow for in his game as he is just one of those players who does things off instinct, when it comes off you get moments like the first goal so just let him be him. Wouldn't mind so much but if that was one of the players he represents he wouldn't have been going on like that.

What a rollercoaster of emotions that was. Today was a massive game for both sides, a proper relegation six pointer, can't believe the ending, huge win for us.

I thought we started the game well, seemed to have control over the game without creating anything to test McKeown. Grimsby grew into the game, were the better side for the remainder of the half, they were in control by this stage and bar a couple of efforts, Cumming was largely untroubled. We only offered a threat on the break, List was played in, poor defending, but he took the chance well. 1-0 up at the break and gave us something to hold on to in the second half.

I thought we managed the game quite well in the second half and bar the last 10 minutes or so of pressure were fairly comfortable. The equaliser was a real shitter, taken well by Payne, but to have got so close to a massive result it just felt gutting. I almost turned the stream off but I'm glad I didn't. Disasterous goal to concede from a Grimsby perspective but I'm not complaining! Massive win for us, first away win in over a year. It's moments like today when I really miss being in the stands.

Don’t know how the Southend lad avoided a red, he could of had one within a few minutes of the start for a nasty tackle. Same referee sent Joyce off for similar against Tranmere!

Got a booking on 90 minutes but jesus wept he was bad! They seemed ill disciplined. First goal seemed to kill them though.

Decent effort from Rodney today, missed him the last two games.

New manager next week, try and keep hold of Conlon over the next 2 days and it will feel more positive I hope.

Dreadful game of football at Valley Parade and easily the worst we've played since the caretakers came in. But two good goals and 3 points so can't really complain. Barrow were decent enough in parts but toothless going forwards. Quigley a handful but sadly for them his strike partner Kay spent more time on his arse feigning injuries than helping him out.

Utter tripe served up by ourselves today, another disjointed performance away from home creating little and conceding 2 goals for the 7th away game in a row - Losing 6 of those.

Bolton were worthy winners and the better side and should've scored more. The game was too much for us with no recognised striker with Johnson and Angol both missing, we created nothing of note apart from a few strikes from distance.

If we bring in anymore players a striker will have to be one surely, what with Lee Angol always injured. Or a full back that could defend as well.

You should take heart from that performance, even in defeat. You gave us our toughest game since we sacked McCall at the beginning of December, and I include 2 games against Cambridge in that period.

As for us, it was good to see us grind out a win to continue the unbeaten run to 8 games since the interim joint managers Trueman and Sellars took the reins, that was certainly a game we would have lost a couple of months ago under McCall.

Looking at Grimsby, so glad we didnt appoint bookies favourite Paul Hurst for the job, and that's not hindsight on my part, never fancied him at Bradford City in the first place. Am I right in saying Grimsby have lost every game under him so far. Grimsby looked doomed along with Sarfend now
