Our game away at Sheffield Wednesday in March has been moved from a Saturday to Friday because the scheduling computer had both Sheffield clubs at home on the same day.. smooth.

Our trip to Ipswich on New Years eve has been moved to the evening before (a Friday) cheers guys, rather than a Saturday 3 o'clock in the festive period its a Friday evening, can't see many making that trip.

You brought sub 500 for a Saturday in September. I doubt moving this game to the Friday will make much difference and you'll get an extra days rest for the Monday 2nd games.

You don't think that a game being moved from a mid-day kickoff to a night time kick off with make much difference?

I'm saying that whether it was the Saturday or Friday, you still wouldn't have brought many. At least this way, the team get an extra days rest.

Fuck sake.

Why don't Wednesday take priority over United anyway? Surely they get bigger crowds, therefore easier to police on a Saturday?

Let's be fair it will make little difference to what travels. We've had priority for years so they get a shot

Our game at Ewood in March has been moved to 1pm. Better than last season when it was 12pm I suppose.

Eamonn Dolan's funeral took place today in Wokingham.

Our North Stand will be renamed the 'Eamonn Dolan Stand' and many notable faces were there, including Massimo Cellino (?). Touching to see so many players - past and present - there.

RIP Eamonn.

Only news out of the club today is to be dedicated to Eamonn. Stand being named after him will be a great long lasting legacy, much like he has built a great long lasting legacy with the academy.

Rest in peace.

Good bit of news for us today in the return of Idiakez.

Pearson obviously rates him and he's a cult hero here from his playing days, good to see him back.

Forest not allowed any fans at home games at the moment

"Nottingham Forest has under a month to ensure their fans can watch matches at the City Ground.

Nottinghamshire County Council has removed the ground's safety certificate due to a staffing problem.

A Spokesperson for the County Council said:

“The County Council is currently leading on Nottingham Forest’s annual safety audit and we have been informed by the club that it no longer has a safety certificate holder, which is a legal requirement for sports grounds.

“Unfortunately, we have no choice other than to restrict the club’s spectator capacity to nil until they put in place a suitable person to fill this role, which will allow the club to hold matches with spectators at its City ground.

“We are keeping this position under review and will be working closely with the club in the coming weeks on this issue.”

Spokesperson from Nottingham Forest said:

“The club will continue to work in conjunction with the County Council to ensure all requirements are met and that a suitable person will be appointed as the club’s safety certificate holder.

“Nottingham Forest has a healthy long standing relationship with the County Council, and all parties are working together to resolve this matter as quickly and efficiently as possible.” "

Fair play. We wanted him as assistant manager, but considering he has a close connection with Derby being a player and all can see why he chose you. Think we'll need an English speaking assistant if Lopetugi comes in.

Think this is a brilliant idea. I don't know if any of you chaps have been to St. James' in the last two or three years as a neutral or in the cup but due to shocking displays both on and off the field, the atmosphere has been shocking.

Basically an organised and coherent effort to attempt to improve that with, what looks like on face value, a Liverpool/Kop style show of flags and banners. I've always wondered why we've never done this but I think the Club are really attempting to see this relegation/Rafa staying on as a phoenix from the flames moment.

Rotherham have had to cancel their friendly on the 20th July because of injuries. Belongs in the tinpot thread in the non-league section, that.

Nonsense, there is little point in taking part in a meaningless warm up match if there are a number of players suffering from injury.

Your spats, many of which you seem to lose with SERNWA, have seen you develop some sort of hatred of all things RUFC.

Very unbecoming for a moderator TBH, and it reflects very badly on your reasoned posts, many of which I enjoy reading.

That's not the case at all.

You give what you get. SERNWA gave out plenty of stick last summer. It doesn't by any stretch of the imagination mean that I hate, or even dislike Rotherham, purely because of a member who comes and goes on a football forum.

Likewise, and I do hope that you're not left in a situation like we were last summer. It was painful being linked with all these players and then only ending up with one permanently.

'Premier League 2' is bullshit, making development football a closed shop (with no relegation) gives no opportunity to clubs like us who are trying to develop our U21's side, we've signed around 4/5 players to go into that side but if we can no longer progress to play any better teams than we will be this season it makes it a lot harder to convince good young players stay with us.

Our U21s are in Premier League 2, the Premier League U21 cup, the Premier League International Cup and the EFL Trophy (formerly known as the JPT) this year. Going to be a busy season for them. May explain why we've not had any of them go out on loan yet.
