Cracking save from Neuer, Sweden could/should be 2 or 3 up.

That was a brilliant save by Neuer, absolutely out of this world. That finish couldn't be any better.

Germany lucky that this is only 1-0, but you have to fear this will come back to haunt us.

Germany lucky we're only leading 1-0, we should have been up 4-0.
Clear pen, Toivonen goal, Claesson miss and Bergs almost goal.

This is wonderful. Chance of a dark horse World Cup winner on the rise if these type of results continue. Germany look like a poor imitation of themselves - they play the same way, but everything is sloppy. The myth of Loew to end?

I feel quite bad for Reus, he waits his entire career to play with Germany in a World Cup and he ends up part of this version...cursed.

I’m still waiting for Draxler to show me he’s a good player.

Well, you'll have to wait until their game with South Korea, he's been hooked at half time.

Know what you mean though, forgot he was even playing given how little we'd heard his name mentioned in the first half.

No wonder Klopp wants Olsen to replace Karius and Mignolet.

Catastrophic start for Sweden.

Big 10-15 minutes for them now to stay in touch. Still fancy them on the break if they can ride out this early pressure.

You have a very strange perception of top class players.
Are you telling me that you think Draxler is top class? He’s been pulled at half time in a huge game haha. He’s been virtually anonymous in both games. I don’t care that he tears apart the Dijon defence, the French league is very weak.

Sweden are sitting deeper and deeper. Not the right thing to do right now. Just keep doing what you were doing well in the first half

In the last few weeks you have pretty much ripped apart Ramos, Navas, Higuain and Draxler, some of the best players in the world at their positions. And probably more. You've yet to see that Draxler is even 'good'. On the other hand, you think that Mitrovic is a great striker. I doubt you ever see any of these players play apart from the odd Champions League game or at an International tournament, neither of which are particularly good ways of judging a player.

Great, another team blow their energy far too early and will now get picked off towards the end. Would have thought a team like Sweden would have learnt to conserve their energy a bit better.

We have slight moments of panic, no need, we need to slow the game down and work on the counter attack.

Oh I’ve seen them plenty of times. Navas is a dodgy keeper, as he’s shown countless times, Real are trying to replace him, says everything. Ramos isn’t bad, he’s just no way the best defender in the world, the amount of red cards he gets is disgraceful, so he can’t be trusted. Ramos is one of the best defenders on the ball, but his actual defending attributes definitely don’t make him the best. Higuain misses so many chances and if he was world class, he’d have never left Madrid. He’s not the worst striker ever (none of these players are the worst, I’ve never said that), he just flatters to deceive on the big occasions. Draxler is weak, runs down blind alleys and doesn’t work that hard for the team, I’m yet to see him play really well and he’s now been hooked at half time by his manager, it’s going well for him. Mitrovic on his day is a really great old fashioned striker. He’ll bully defenders, he’ll work hard, his hold up play is good and he’s deadly in the air. However, I also said that he’s a loose cannon (much like Ramos) and he can do something really stupid and let you down. I stand by everything I said. Game of opinions and all that jazz..

Well, I'd like look like a fool to call someone's opinion wrong, but...

Not worth arguing the other points as I've stated my views in the other threads.

I'll just say to give Draxler more of a watch, he was the player of the tournament at the Confederations Cup last year, has performed well wherever he's been and in whatever competition. He's still only 24 too. Trust me, he's good. You don't start for a Germany team with this talent, that left out Leroy Sane no less, without being good. Germany are just all over the shop this tournament, Draxler is the least of their problems.

Oh, and Mitrovic is an enigma. I mean, on his day Duncan Ferguson was a world beater. Wouldn't call either great because their great performance were so fleeting.
