Unfortunately I think Serbia are as good as out after Mitro was ROBBED of a penalty. Apparently 2 people literally climbing him isn't worthy of a VAR review.

OK, it's the wrong thread but yesterday at the Swiss-Serbia match I had to laugh when Mitro and Shaqiri had a talk at half time. Giant and dwarf (no offense don't know the correct term). Mitro is surely no Rocket science engineer by the looks of it more like a bouncer but not of the unlikely sort.

Also, football never really left home as such. We kinda just let the rest of the world borrow some of it (ok, most of it) for 52 years.

all of it for 52 years :D but now the time has come. You beat Tunisia in stoppage time...football's coming home

back to Group F: Interesting that even South Korea has still a chance to advance. If they beat us with 2 Goals and Sweden lose against Mexico. Both is possible (not very likely but possible)

edit: Can someone please post if my HSV sig is still visible? I only see a "invalid pic" instead of the sig.

Serbia vs Kosovo. Mitro is a lunatic but Shaqiri is JACKED for a short arse. Mitro by referee stoppage in the 9th imo.

Your sig doesn't work mate. I think you have to sign up to the numerous betting sites advertised all over the forum to get it back.

Germans will probably go and win the whole bloody thing after that tonight. Silly Swedish had the chance to virtually knock em out, if just a little more street wise.

Fuck off, I thought we were friends and you root for ice hockey players in football? Shame on you lads . Hope Serbia goes out now and Football's not coming home :D (sorry, had a few )

I was laughing at Bilo and, by extension, Sweden, mate.

No ill will towards Germany from me.

i think you’d beat us in a straight contest, but yeah I do think sides like England are built to cause possession heavy sides like Germany problems. We are maybe the fastest side in the competition.

No. Your fear of losing when you concede will always pretend you for getting your horsepower on the streets. When you concede you sink without trace.

Scenes at the end there, gotta admire the Germans fighting spirit, no way were they going to go down without a fight in the group stage unlike the last 3 European World Champions.

Be interesting to see how this affects them, sort of thing that can really spark a team off.

Indeed. I didn't realise it that in the "new millenium" 3 of the last 4 European World Cup Champs were knocked out in the group stages in the following World Cup: France (2002), Italy (2010), Spain (2014) (only Brazil "survived" in 2006 but they aren't Europeans). So it seems we could avoid this fate by "a hair breadth" (although we are not through yet. Hopefully we don't have jinxed it now :D )

Yes, that was a big theme in the German media, too, and you could hear it in the after match interviews with the players. Let's see. I am still sceptic but that's my temper. Goes only away at the final whistle in the Final when we have won it ;)

It hurts a lot. We're not out, we need to beat Mexico by two clear goals though. Chances are we do. But fucking hell. This hurts.
Surely 1-0 win for Sweden should be enough. Sweden will go through on h2h.

Got to say what was amazing.

I didn’t think we’d see a better freekick than Ronaldo vs Spain but Kris did it last night. Stunning

I bet Germany go through in 2nd and Brazil finish 2nd in their group as Switzerland will probably thrash Costa Rica.

So both Brazil and Germany avoid each other. :(

To make sure the germans are dead you have to shoot them twice

:D

That's right, mente. Don't mess with the Germans. If you have them down on one shot, shoot another time otherwise they'll stand up again.

At least every team in this group has something to play for in the last match because not even Mexico is secure with 2 wins and South Korea is not yet out. Something we can't say about other groups where we have some "friendlies" in the last match because teams are already out.

Sweden needs only to win 1-0 against Mexico to have the edge over the Speedy Gonzalez men (and tbh I can't see them score more than 1 Goal) and we aren't through yet

btw: The last time Germany was 0-1 down at halftime in a group match and reversed the score was in 1974......against Sweden :D(and coincidentally back then we also lost a group match with 0-1, against the German "Democrats" (aka Commies). And we know how the story of the World Cup ended...Just saying

We could have put three past you short of the ref and a worldie from Neuer.

Could; could; could.

We could have put 70 past your goalie when you only started with 3 players

Yeah, and we could have scored a few more (Brandt, Gomez etc) but we haven't like your team. That's the problem.

What I mean is, Sweden is great for defence but they lack it normally in attack (and they can't rely on Mexico to make such stupid passes like Rüdiger and Kroos in the 1st half that gave you chances).
