Lot of folk on our forums wanting our crowd to show support for & with the Blackpool fans. Sure hope they do.
No one wants to see any club ripped away from the true fans.

Us getting the 3pts on Saturday will keep the pressure right up on the Oystens wouldn't it? :)

It would be a great gesture if Scally could sort out something for the Blackpool fans who travel down - free food/drink or something like that. Make them welcome.

Fucking Hell, Lasher fans being made out to be Syrian migrants on here.

They won 1-0 the weekend just gone and there's probably only Sheff Utd and Wigan who have spent more on transfer fees in this league.

Haha, typical dribble from you SF. Stick to the Championship forum and heaven forbid your club has ANYTHING like this go on. No sympathy from me bar the real fans that support your club.

Umming and arring about going to this. It's only a two hour drive from me.

No disrespect but you know you've had a mental drop in quality of football when Gillingham believe they should beat you.

We need players this week and hopefully the Oystons agree to sell. If Carlsberg did weeks.

We were relegated to this league four seasons ago, I bought a season ticket and carried on supporting my team because i'm not a massive slapped ass.

Zzz I guess I might as well block you. Seeing as you aren't posting anything that is constructive. Remotely interesting or even humorous banter. Nothing.

... moving on.

Anyone know anything about Egan, Dickenson or Oshilaja? Could really do with at least one of the CBs back, Loft didn't do badly against Donny at all, but he's quite slow and not very tall so against a speedy or tall striker he'd be in trouble. Fantastic to have players like Ehmer and Garmston to call on when those who've been starting can't play, in fact even saying "call on" is doing them an injustice as it makes them seem like reserves, when they could both easily be in the starting line up. It'd also be nice for McDonald to get off the mark here, although I guess it's going to take him a little while to get up to speed.

Apparently they each failed late fitness tests, so judging on that their respective injuries can't be TOO serious if they were in contention up to the last minute. Shows the strength of the squad when we can introduce Ehmer and Garmston who were both heralded as marquee signings in the summer. Agree on Loft, he certainly shouldn't play too much at CB, although he did ok against Donny. The fact we have Ehmer means we aren't overly rushed to bring both Egan and Oshilaja back in though, so we can give them a chance to get properly fit before we re-introduce them.

I think we might see a bit more gametime for Williamson and McGlashan in this one, although right now I'm not sure where Jermaine fits into our system unfortunately. He could be used as an out and out striker I guess, but other than that his options seem limited. I also think Hess deserves a start, maybe over Osadebe.

Nelson
Jackson - Ehmer - Egan/Oshilaja - Garmston
Wright
Hess - Houghton
Dack
McDonald - Williamson

Morris, Egan/Oshilaja, Dickenson, Osadebe, McGlashan, Donnelly, Norris.

Loft not even on the bench?

I would be surprised if Loft doesn't start as Jed has said that he was due to start against Donny in midfield.

I reckon it will be as above except for Loft in for Hessie Jnr and Norris in for Williamson.

Personally I reckon Hess will be unlucky not to start as he made a real difference when he came on Saturday, but we just have so many midfield options. Remember, we still have Aaron Morris to come back.

Managed to forget about Loft. In which case yes, Loft to start, maybe over Houghton to give him a rest. Not sure who misses out on the bench in that case, it'd have to be one of McGlashan or Donnelly.

Hess had a big impact when he came on on Saturday, it'd be harsh for him to be on the bench. I guess with the number of decent central midfielders we've got this is going to be a problem all season. :bg:

Just because you happen to hate Blackpool and love Oysten (seriously, we all get it - no need to post it on every thread involving Blackpool), doesn't mean we all think the same as you, and as such we'd actually like to do something decent for the fans who make the effort to travel despite what's going on with their club. You are very fortunate to follow a club that hasn't been financially mismanaged almost to the point of collapse like a lot of lower league clubs (including ourselves) have been. Even if we can't do anything personally about the running of their club, we can still help them out in other small ways like this. Call it human nature if you want, but if I see someone at a low ebb then I'll try to help them if I can.

Cos we're a nice bunch of chaps, and it's fairly obvious what their chairman is trying to do. Despite what the good people of Preston think ;)

Well you know so much about the whole subject, you can't even spell his name right...

What help would giving them free refreshments be? If you really wanted to help them, at least do something worthwhile.

When did I say I knew everything about the topic? I bet I don't know half of what has gone on up there, but you don't need to be the brain of Britain to know that Blackpool are being financially mismanaged, and it's the man at the top that's caused that.

What would you have us do? March on Bloomfield Road and demand a lynching? We don't have any connections to Blackpool as a club, but the one thing we do have in common is that we're all fans. In my time following Gills I've had several occasions where an opposition fan has bought me a drink at the game, or the club has offered a free hot drink if it's freezing cold - it's called being human, and no matter how much you dislike the idea, we should welcome their loyalty by doing something for them, as clubs have done for us in the past.

So what you're basically saying is you don't know that much about the subject but you'll just take Blackpool fans' word for it that that is what's happening?

Loads of clubs have gone from the Premier League to League 1. Nobody was lynching Oyston when they were going the other way, in fact I remember lots of times being ridiculed by Blackpool fans when we had Derek Shaw in charge and they had Oyston and how much better he was. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the fucking drama queens have all thrown their toys out of the pram.

Maybe Oyston is now trying to ruin them, but it definitely didn't start out that way and who can blame him when he and his family have to deal with multiple death threats on a daily basis.

I don't know everything that's happened no, it would be remiss of me to suggest that. I have however read a wide variety of reports from many sources (yes, some of them from Blackpool fans) which don't exactly paint the current regime in a positive light to say the least. Do you honestly believe he's a good person?

I'd forgotten about Worthington though. Bellend.

Oh no not at all, the whole family are a bunch of total wankers. Sam closely behind Owen in the c*** stakes. I still firmly believe that the whole situation is being massively exaggerated by the Blackpool fans though (most of them anyway) no matter how many times Kurt calls me a dumb fuck.

Oyston's policies were no different under Grayson and Holloway, the difference is they overachieved.

The lashers have every right to want him out over the Prem money situation but i'm not buying this 'running the club into the ground' crap. I remember some used to applaud him for his stance on dealing with agents, but that was when Holloway was unearthing gems, not when Ince was signing Neal Bishop.

I find it hard to understand why anyone would have an issue with one set of fans considering the possibility of doing something for another set of fans whose club is in trouble, regardless of whether or not you think they deserve it.
