You are sadly very correct..... well played

Our comms were saying ‘they just don’t look arsed’ ‘where’s the passion’ we’ve all been there at some stage. It’s desperate, feel for your fans with Abdallah at the helm.

Class. The whole club is pulling together at the minute.

4 games to go. It could be a special season.

Lovely that. Any word on who Clarke lost or have they still kept it private (as is their right of course)?

You didn’t get into 2 nd gear easy away win we were so flat after last week’s performance against port vale, and results against us today think I’m excepting we are going down unless a miracle happens. Just a question for you do you normally travel in such small numbers i thought you’d of brought more

There’s a bit of civil war at the club at the minute, most can’t be arsed (including myself today, watched on iFollow). I’ve said a few times there’s not a lot of enthusiasm around us at the minute despite being 4th. It’s very odd.

It's not just Carver, Shelton in midfield doesn't offer enough creatively. I'd be tempted to start White over him.

I like the keeper on both occasions he's played, Bilokapic. I'd ask if he fancies being a number 2 next season. Morris I'd sign up as well and think there's a canny chance he would. Agree on the others.

White has the fancy deft passes and technique down but doesn't have any battle in him, Bilokapic looked fine today, made a good save after we slit our wrists and played them in on the edge of the box but he had very little else to do.

I think we're in for a big overhaul next season, some of it out of our hands, I'm sick of hearing about the negotiations for next season, this shit is churned out every week, if Molyneux/Odusina/Ferguson don't wanna be here next year and feel like they have better options, fine, offer them a deal, don't bust the bank on them and leave it at that, go out and look for other options.

Will we be on TV quite a lot?

If Oldham go down with us we will be about the 10th biggest club in that league
Yes, there is a game every week unlike Sky, so you will easily have three or four occasions to enjoy 5:30 kick offs.

We steam rollered Scunthorpe in the first 25mins and tbh we should've won by more. Rory Watson was terrible in Scunthorpes goal in the first half.

Commiserations Scunthorpe, I hope Swann sells you quickly so Hill can build a side capable of starting the push back.

Agreed commiserations Scunny, easily the worst feeling I've ever had at the footy when we went into non league.

Sums up the ref today. That inept little twat has left me seething. Absolutely dreadful display. Anyway, moving past the ref and onto the performance: fantastic. We were the much better side throughout the ninety and I felt gutted for all the players. Songo'o should have scored and so should Lee Angol late on who smashed the post when it was easier to score. I think if we'd have been playing with 11 we'd have won it. Great atmosphere too!

Great performance from Sutton today, a proper strong away from home showing against a team with a fantastic home record.

As referenced previously I actually missed our first, so that was a pleasant surprise to come into. Stand out Sutton players for me were Beautyman, Boldjiwen, and Milsom although Bouzanis had a solid game in goal, and can hardly be blamed for 2 fortuitous goals for the Stags.

Our reaction to Mansfield pulling it back to 2-1 was brilliant, I thought our heads would drop but Richie Bennett came through with a strong run and finish.

Funniest moment of the match was the Mansfield 16 getting booked for diving. It wasn’t even close.

Two wins for Sutton since the heartbreak at Wembley, and we’re back in the playoff spots.

Well good luck with that. But I’d swap civil war with the shit show that is happening at oldham out of all the play off contenders we’ve played recently you looked the best set up think the top three will stay the same and either yourselves or Mansfield Going up

Mansfield were absolutely dreadful today, I recommend everyone to watch the first goal for a bit of a laugh, once that was in Sutton deployed the ‘dark arts’ and started time wasting, every player taking turns to be ‘injured’ etc and to be fair they pulled it off perfectly, You almost want to give them credit for time wasting in the 9th minute in a weird way.

Got to be very clear though, Mansfield got exactly what they deserve which was fuck all, yes the referee was abysmal but he did not affect the result. Sutton won every second ball, we were outfought and the final result flattered us massively.

Felt like we never recovered from that first goal, Sutton looked quite limited but looked pretty decent on the counter with pace.

I actually think that was up there with Northampton away as our worst performance of the season.

I think that was the second funniest moment of the match, after the first goal, personally :D

The first goal has been hyped up as being funny so much that I think I’ll be disappointed when I finally see it.

The best bit is our goalie slipped before giving it to the defender who gave it away, honestly it was embarrassing.

A couple of games ago we had our keeper booked for timewasting while the opposition were making a sub !

Just about to take the goal kick, ref stops play to make the sub and while one player is trotting off the ref runs up to the keeper and books him !

I've heard pretty consistent rumours and if true its something you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy but I don't think its appropriate to comment. Just great to see him back. He is much-loved at Vale.

Sadly his daughter Ellie died. His brother Wayne announced they laid her to rest 4 weeks ago.

Not really an exaggeration to say we could have had nine or ten. Our CB was shooting from inside our own half at the end of the first 45. Scunny’s effort improved in the 2nd whilst ours went through the floor and we still hit the woodwork 3 times and missed plenty more gilt-edged chances.

Commiserations to Scunny and their fans. Alex Calvo-Garcia can still go fuck himself, mind.

I though we looked really comfortable today right up until when we conceded and the plan just went out the window after that, real poor end to the game, we looked like 11 players just running around, structure had gone, it was one of those games for Port Vale when you're in a promotion battle were performances don't matter, they got into it second half after a poor first, scored and took all three points comfortably in the end.
Yup,much better than Vale in the first half, but you knew our lack of cutting edge would cost us.
Once Shelton missed that fairly easy chance in he second half, that was it,so predictedable.
A month ago we were 2nd in the form table, now we're 3rd bottom, what a shit way to end what's been a decent season.

Result aside today, looking ahead to next season and the buzz is back. Todays atmosphere was the best in years and the whole fan base has 100% bought into Hughes and the significant improvements he’s made.
Today meant nothing league wise yet we played with the intensity of a cup final - guys who won’t be here in a few weeks, guys who under Adams didn’t want to be here, bodies on the line, maximum effort, visibly gutted at full time having not seen it through. Season tickets went on sale yesterday and today could not have been a better advert, the potential of what next season might bring has got us enjoying football again.

do you think you'll keep Andy Cook? IF we stay up he'd be an improvement on our strikers this season.

I’d say Hartlepool certainly first half looked every bit a decent team. We were not good at all at least in possession where it was the sloppiest we have played in quite a while. As mentioned earlier Crawford looks a real player and Bogle even if some of his shooting was very wayward he was a right handful. Reminded me a lot of a former Vale striker Akpo Sodje with his pace and power. Think there’s enough to work with for next season though.

Think when we did get a foothold in the game second half Hartlepool did fade somewhat and after we took the lead it felt like our defence was relatively comfortable. Thought Jake Taylor when he came on added a lot more control in midfield, we are going to need him massively now with Pett out and Walker probably done for the season.

Thought your manager showed a nice touch of class after the game with some nice words for DC. Think they might have been teammates at Hartlepool?

We've got a decent little core of players, some contracted for next season, others not, depends what happens with them close season, whether or not we kick on or have to do a little rebuild, still with the way our National League season ended so late and how little pre season we had compared to everyone else, currently sitting slap bang in mid table with 4 games to play we have to consider this season a success, no matter how crap it's finishing.

They were both teammates for a few seasons, Lee's wife has terminal brain cancer and had only been given 12 months to live, an expensive trial drug has given her time and hope, he said earlier this week that even though Darrell had been going through his own grief he's still been in contact and keeping up to date with Lee and his wife's condition.

That's the measure of the man.

Walsall are weird for not taking to him. Literally every other club he has been at he has been loved.

I think that’s the reason DC was there as he’s still good mates with their boss who said some lovely words for him pre match in his hopes we get promoted for him.

Would love it if we won promotion next weekend at the Bescott! Although less likely due to Mansfield’s game in hand. Their fans hate him because he was crap apparently but hate us for nicking him. Really never got that one!

Was great to see him for the first time in two months on the pitch at the end though and it does feel like we are doing it for him and giving everything for him. The fact he physically dragged Crosby over to take the plaudits as well was special.

AC/DC have been a great partnership.
