I didn't realise you had access to our and Eastleigh's accounts.

What is our budget, and how does it compare to yours?

You don't need to be a weatherman to tell when its fucking raining!
Ok i will re-phrase it just for you poppet, i would SUSPECT that yours and Eastleigh's budgets are a lot bigger than Grimsby Towns, due to you having very rich gentlemen pumping vast amounts of money into your delightful clubs.
Better?

So basically you're making wild assumptions and laying them out as facts.

The only fact here is that Grimsby are throwing loads of money at it and should walk it. After this high profile fund raising campaign, failure to win the league comfortably will be a spectacular and embarrassing failure. The pressure is all on you. End of.

Was it? It got 2 bites.
Is that what it's come to? Any response to one of your posts is deemed a "bite", even when you're simply being told that your post was lacklustre? DSL and Frealaf are indeed correct. Some cringeworthy behaviour going on here.

Forest Green are a village club and traditional non league team backed by a wealthy benefactor. Grimsby are a traditional league team backed by a wealthy benefactor. The only difference between the two nowadays are that Grimsby have a larger fanbase. This is like two bald men arguing over a comb.

I don't agree with that. The money we've raised has virtually paid for Bogle who we've signed on a 3 year contract. Even if we fail this season, this fundraiser would still have been a 3 year investment.

FGR budget is a lot bigger than ours on a lot smaller income.

The money Vince puts in massively out weighs JFs in my opinion.

But, haven't Forest Green been one big epic fail for the past 5 seasons?

You are probably right. Fenty does underwriting you hough, what's the current figure for the accumulated debt 4 million? I understand he will likely write it all.off when he walks away, but it does show that Grimsby aren't exactly living within their means- not to the extent of the FGRs and Eastleighs of the word, but still spending more than they bring in.

I do think that the way things are going this is Grimsbys best chance of promotion since being down here.

Final total was just over £110,000, unbelievable amount raised.

With almost 2500 season tickets sold, and the great preseason results including beating two championship sides and a lge 2 side quite comfortably I've never know a more optimistic time and fans and club pulling together in the way we have since Jan last season to now, especially after losing out on promotion the way we did. Let's hope it continues long into next season.

Over 110k extra for the playing budget is a massive effort. Can pay for 2 top quality players for a year at this level. I'm sure you'll hold some of that back for Jan for 1 or 2 loans to cover injuries to take you over the line.

Lincolns equivalent on crowdfunder has passed 15k now, should reach somewhere between 16-17k. Not on the same scale of Grimsby, but should cover the wages of Harrad for the season should we sign him.

I think our "Sign Raheem Sterling" fund got us about £500... #OperationMidtable
