To the Birmingham fans....

This has been Villa's worst season for donkeys years, they've put one of the worst teams out that the Premier League has seen in it's existance, they've signed absolute dross from the French leagues, they've signed past it journeymen who should probably be retired. They are at constant loggerheads with their board, who don't want to seem to do anything to halt the slide via investment. They don't have a manager, they don't really have anyone with too much sell-on value, and their best young talent prefers getting on the piss in the Canary Islands than putting a shift in. Kieran Richardson still plays. Alan Hutton is a regular, and is one of the better players. They have the worst keeper I can remember seeing playing as a regular in the top flight.

And despite all this, despite ALL the negativity coming from the club, despite being absolutely hopeless, toothless, embarrassing....

They STILL beat you this season.

Gillingham have a one-way rivalry with Millwall, I wouldn’t expect you to understand club rivalry.

Our team of misfits are predominantly made up of free transfers brought in from Oldham, Leyton Orient, Doncaster, etc. We don’t have the luxury of having an owner like Randy Lerner investing £300 million into the club, yet little ol’ Small Heath still played Villa off the park that they got booed off at half-time, whereas our players were applauded at the end despite having just lost. I doubt there are two sets of supporters in the same city that are poles apart to the extent of Blues and Villa.

Here’s Villa celebrating Birmingham City being relegated in 2011. We make no apology for giving some back.

No we don't.

For the record, my Dad was a Villa fan, so I'd say I do know a little bit.

You both live in f*cking caravans for a start.
Actually I live in a nice 3 bed semi-detached property, but thank you for the wild stab in the dark. Millwall fans reside in tower blocks, as we all know.

I appreciate the aim of your post but I wouldn't say that the Jordans are "absolute dross". In fact, I'd say they were among Villa's best players this season.

Ayew has done a little bit better than I imagined, but Veretout has been dreadful every time I've seen him. Amavi could be decent but he hasn't played enough to judge. Having said that, calling anyone Villa's best player of the season is like giving out an award for best-dressed tramp.

Please tell me you're only referring to Ayew and Amavi? If you're referring to Veretout too, you're out of your mind.

Fucking hell, I've read some shit on here over the years, this nonsense is pretty near the top!! You're seriously trying to tell us not to take the piss because Villa scraped a 1-0 cup win against us? Let me address the main points..

To the Birmingham fans....

This has been Villa's worst season for donkeys years, they've put one of the worst teams out that the Premier League has seen in it's existance, they've signed absolute dross from the French leagues, they've signed past it journeymen who should probably be retired. They've spent just shy of £55m this year - we've spent £2.2m They are at constant loggerheads with their board, who don't want to seem to do anything to halt the slide via investment. Their chairman has put over £300m into the club - Our chairman is under house arrest on five counts of money laundering, and has had all his assets frozen since 2011 They don't have a manager, they don't really have anyone with too much sell-on value , and their best young talent prefers getting on the piss in the Canary Islands than putting a shift in.the most valuable asset we had was sold to Leicester in the transfer window for £1.5m Kieran Richardson still plays. Alan Hutton is a regular, and is one of the better players. both seasoned pros who're household names, few people outside Brum could name 3 players from our total squad They have the worst keeper I can remember seeing playing as a regular in the top flight.we have one goalkeeper signed on a free from Leyton Orient & a 35 year old free transfer

And despite all this, despite ALL the negativity coming from the club, despite being absolutely hopeless, toothless, embarrassing....

They STILL beat you this season.

Excuse me if I don't feel a shred of sympathy for them.

I'm all ok with Villa coming down as long as we keep Baker. Then it's all good.

Grayson second favourite at the moment

I honestly think the club is in too much of a mess to attract Pearson or Moyes so I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up with a cheap gamble like Grayson. Although Bruce or McCarthy would be better options.

The likely hood of getting the big away allocation has reduced somewhat today, season ticket holders have apparently had a letter announcing the closure of the top tier of the Trinity Rd stand. Presumably there are season ticket holders in there who'll have to be rehomed, unlikely they'll also move people around from the North Stand too to accommodate away fans. So back to maximum of 3k I reckon.

True, but you must have also noticed that Pearson is odds on in most places, and evens are the best odds you can get on him right now.

Yeah, I'm just expecting a few more twists and turns with Villa before this season is out though as your boardroom looks very unstable.

Should you get your house in order then someone like Moyes or Pearson would be more than likely but until then, I wouldn't be laying down any money.
