Just 14 first team players available for us tonight, so might be worth sticking Newport on your bets.

A few changes for us tonight, I don't think there'll be too many goals, but hopefully we have enough to progress. Jabo on the bench.

Curle announced the starting XI on the radio at 6:15, whilst they were on the bus down.

Not our best team by a long shot but still looks alright. Glad to have Balanta back in the free role behind the striker. Unsure about Rigg at the moment though.

Not bothered going but surprisingly we've gone as stronger side as we can (3 changes down to illness and injury).

Need to get back to winning ways but will be a good test.

Typical!

It's certainly a weakened side we've put out, but at the same time it's one with a lot of resolve that will put in a shift... one that won't concede three goals I hope, but one that's unlikely to score many.

Of course if the sides are level at about 60 minutes, I wouldn't be surprised if Curle decided to throw Jabo and Asamoah on to try and grab the win.

How nice is it to know that if it's 0-0 late in the game we can chuck Jabo on and feel pretty confident of a goal. Dull game so far.

Our commitment to annihilating teams and not scoring has to be admired.

Apparently we have just scored one of the worst own goals seen in a long time. Commentator ''incredible for a professional team to concede a goal like that. If it was Sunday league his team mates would have abused him''

Funny thing is it was Dembele our best signing of the summer.

We've been wank and when we've had chances we've haven't even troubled their net.

It's fine, we're gonna miss another ten chances second half and lose on penalties.

I thought County's strike force was pretty much your strongest area?

It's supposed to be, but we just can't score unless it's a 30 yard screamer. The way we play means we'll always give the opposition chances as well. McLeod, Campbell and Stead all need a goal badly.

Two clear chances missed within three minutes of the second half, we're great.

We've lost 1-0 against Port Vale.

Sounded dismal for the majority, but we created some good chances when Jabo came on.

Not too disheartening, it wasn't a high priority game for us, shown by our starting XI.

Not too fussed, Barnet on Saturday is much more important and Jabo will be playing the full game there so he can show Akinde how to lead the line. League Cup will be enough of a distraction without a shitty JPT fixture this month.

As Chris Lumsdon alluded to in commentary, the JPT is nice when you reach the Area Final but up until then it is a dreadful cup.

We lost to a team that registered no shots on target all game. Must of been a hell of a match as we only managed one.

Thinking about it our defence managed 3 shots at goal on Yeovils behalf.

Westcarr slips and gets a peno. Can't make it up. We beat a Mansfield second string 3 - 1

Think on the balance of play Luton deserve their victory against Leyton Orient tonight - albeit from a wicked deflection off Stephen O'Donnell's back after Ryan Hall's shot, in the 90th minute! Yep... another one of those!

Leyton Orient really didn't get going until they got a very soft penalty midway through the second half.

Jack Marriott was dismissed for supposedly giving the Orient fans "the bird". No one battered an eye lid until the linesman called the referee across, who seemed to make some very strange decisions tonight and informed him of what happened. Fans can do it, but players not? Surely a yellow would've sufficed?

I didn't go but from what I can tell, Dagenham were very good and we were very bad (again), and the score could easily have been 4 or 5. We're there for the taking in every game at the moment.

Notts county's strongest team vs mansfield reserves, one team desperate for a win the other desperate to exit a nonsense competition.

Glad its over, back onto the league. County have a lot of work to do

There's your taker.

This is what happens when you don't take the competition too seriously but the opposition does. This should be a good confidence booster for County and set them up for Saturday.

The JPT is a minefield for clubs with shallow squads, I'm just happy to survive without injuries and suspensions.

Notts have a decently equipped squad to make their mark in the competition, good luck to them for the later rounds.
