Thought I'd bump this as it's hotting up to be a decent competition with both clubs averaging over 2 points per game so far, although it has to be said Everton's fixture list so far has been significantly easier on paper than Liverpool's.

Liverpool in at 2nd favourite for the title with most bookies, which surprises me a lot, although I guess a reflection on how many fans will be betting on it thanks to a decent start with some difficult games out the way. I'd be happy finishing top 4 personally, and Klopp to continue building from there. Koeman has done brilliantly this season at Everton so far, Saturday's result aside. I can easily see them challenging for 5th or 6th providing Lukaku stays fit and can keep his goal scoring consistent throughout a season for a change.

They really need a backup striker for Lukaku as they just don't threaten when he's unavailable.

Or going through one of his '2 goals in 15 games' shit patches.

Liverpool should have pulled away from Everton quite drastically by the time they meet in December, have you seen the fixture list they've got from October onwards?

The only game they should even have to break a sweat in is the Spurs game and that's a League Cup game anyway.

They could even go into Christmas as league leaders if City slip up at all.

That's the difficult test though Mr CC. Big games against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, City and United aren't so bad (just 1 loss in 8 league games under Klopp now against that lot). It's the games against the so called lesser teams where we fuck up, as Burnley again showed. However, after mullering Hull, another of those teams (sorry Carel), hopefully it's an indication we have started to sort that bullshit out and put a run of wins together. High on confidence too at the moment and scoring for fun.

Yes - that's always been a problem for Liverpool. I'd back Klopp to "get them up" for these games now though but it does remain to be seen and we've already seen both sides of it with the Burnley and Hull games, as you say.

I want to go into the United game having won 4 consecutive league games for the first time under Klopp. There really is no excuse not to be beating Swansea, even away from home, especially in the form we're in.

Apparently Guidolin may not even be the coach at the weekend when we meet Swansea, and brain of Britain Ryan Giggs could be the coach. Let's hope so anyway. :D

I don't think Giggs will succeed as a manager but to expect him to have any kind of effect, one way or the other, by the weekend is a stretch even for you, Mungo!

I thought Swansea looked good against City both games. Especially the 2nd game they were more than a match until the penalty. I personally won't be surprised if we drop points against Swansea. City are a level above us.

I agree with this, actually. I only saw Swansea-City in the league but I watched the Swansea-Chelsea game as well. We should beat them, we're the better team, but Swansea are better than their points tally show. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we draw or lose.

Looking like a good race this with Liverpool over achieving and us to get going i think they maybe only 6 -10 points behind at the end of the season.........im sure the ref's and media will help them as always to keep the Asian viewers watching them.

What are you comparing Liverpool's 'over achieving' with? When Brendan Rodgers was in charge?

I'd dispute that man for man you smash them all over the place, but regardless of that it's about getting the team to play as a unit and getting the best out of them, which at the moment Klopp incontrovertibly is doing. Nevertheless, your ill thought out posts still amuse.

So far, both of your embarrassing polls seem not to be going in your favour.

I'm sure they were fundamental in winning said leagues. Face it, you are a club the big boys sell to that want rid of their shite. Even West Ham are fobbing you off with their junk.

What happened in then summer window as well. I mean weren't they now supposed to have more money than Man City, Chelsea and PSG combined? Well they didn't start spending any of it till they flogged Stones and who did they get, Bolassie and a Villa player!
