I've genuinely never seen the fascination with pitch invasions. You all run on the pitch, look like a bunch of idiots, then what? Slowly trudge off.
Agreed not done it since i was about 15 but you never ever trudge off after a 95 min winner
float perhaps but never trudge.
Anyone not a teenager who does it well i just dont get it

The fences will never come back......And you are right with getting in players faces especially if the Billy Sharp incident is repeated,
We have done it many times including at vale. Confined to behind the goal and just celebrate with our own players
Not the clubs fault a idiot or two take it too far

I know the one you’re speaking of as think you were closing in on promotion. If I remember rightly there were a few Vale fans looking to get on and confront them though was relatively harmless in the end. Those ones fine but I think since the end of lockdown things have got a nastier edge to them. I do agree that the fences won’t come back but guarantee it won’t stop certain groups arguing for it.

It’s happened at all clubs of course. Ourselves less so but that’s all due to a lack of success down the years.

Agreed if its just mixing with the players behind the goal not ideal but acceptable
Goading opposition players/fans is a line crossed

Some Bristol Rovers fans might be banned from the first 2 home games as they are potentially going to be forced to have a reduced capacity..

https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-rovers-mem-reduced-capacity-7347344.amp

Guess they might ask if other teams will be punished for their pitch invasions?
The problems started ( season 2021/22) after the FGR game when their lot came on to celebrate promotion. Some of our lot came on for a dust up with them. Then the Scunthorpe game with 10 mins to go after we scored the 7th. Trouble is someone gave there goalie a whack. I believe after the FGR game there have been some quite large banning orders handed out and some have had to do time. Mind you not like in the early 70's when it was a regular occurance.

I don’t see the invasion itself as issue if it’s a promotion or win to make a final, it’s happened for years and should be something enjoyed as those moments are in most clubs cases rare and treasured moments.

The issue this season is for some reason a handful of dickheads in many of these games decided to assault or abuse opposition players, it left a really sour taste after our semi final.

Whilst there had been an under current going on due to the antics of their players around the games you’ve won! Your going to Wembley they are not why in the moment of glory is your first thought let’s go on and give McKirdy or Payne shit? Just enjoy it with our players!

Depending on who you believe:
1) they were attacked and got a battering
2) they started the fight with the doorman and he and his mates battered them
3) he was trying to help a women who was getting hassled and both he and his dad got battered

Positive news out of Cheltenham yesterday when it was announced we've purchased our training ground having been tenants for the last 20 years.

Sounds like we've got a cracking deal on a decent plot in which new club offices can be built. It's already got decent facilities, but it looks like we'll be adding a couple of 4g pitches to help make money throughout the year.

Following the announcement of their new short sponsors, how long before some lazy journo refers to Tyson Fury’s Morecambe?

Will only really be of note to Vale fans but we've now officially exited the dark ages and brought in a loyalty scheme and also online ticket sales for away games. At least this should mean an end to the ridiculous scenes of people camping outside the ticket office the day before they went on sale for the Exeter and Swindon playoff games.

All we need now is some players to be able kick off the season with and an away kit...

That camping thing was a bit ridiculous for the play off games, there were plenty of tickets left over for both the Stratton Bank and the Vale home leg. I guess that's a bit Captain Hindsight on my part but it did seem rather extreme by some Vale fans.

It was but it was a product of how little trust people had in our ticket office following the Exeter debacle. Even stuff like them not being able to accurately report numbers such as for the away leg they said that we had just a handful remaining and turned out we returned a couple of hundred (and then another couple of hundred who bought tickets then didn't go presumably as they didn't factor in no trains running).

Yeah obviously we sold out Exeter in 45 minutes and had fans who’d waited in the queue for hours turned away hence the camping out for Swindon tickets.

The loyalty scheme is good, will come in handy for Burton and Derby away certainly, otherwise I don’t anticipate too many issues this season bar those two unless we stun the league and are in a promotion battle again.

Away kit is revealed tomorrow for sale this week (although many have seen it already).
Just hope this one doesn’t fall apart when you wash it like the home one has been in a lot of cases!

I haven’t checked it but I’ve seen a stat this morning, since McKenna came in we’ve had 16 clean sheets and conceded only 15! He’s really turned us around!

50% win ratio too.

Indeed it’s 16 clean sheets and 15 goals conceded from 29 league games.

Chris Maguire has been suspended after an alleged breach of betting rules from 2017 to February of this year and has until 30th August to respond.

Maybe this bubbling in the background is why he hasn't left the Club yet.

That must be why Sunderland kept blowing promotion. I wondered why he kept missing sitters in the big games.

A wrong made right nearly 20 years later. Absolutely huge news for us.

Great News
I'll alway have a soft spot for the Abbey.
It was my 1st ever away match, back in 1983 in the FA Cup we won 2-1 and went onto reach the Semi Final.
2nd Visit 1993 FA Cup we won 2-1 again but improved one and went onto the reach the Final.
On the basis of continued improvement, I don't think I'll be going in the Cup again!!

I still remember my Dad accidentally drove to the home of Cambridge City first in 83 and though my memory maybe misted it seemed as big, if not bigger than CUFCs at the time.

Lincoln fans, we were forced in to playing Adelakun in defence yesterday after a sending off in the 9th minute (at right back, not wing back), and I just wanted to let you know he was very very good. Something tells me it’s not the first time we’re going to see him operating from deeper than normal this season.

Probably stopped him from doing his stupid step-overs and losing the ball! Has he fared ok so far?
