Am I missing something here? How are Fleetwood intending to fund these relatively well paid signings? If their chief bank roller is in prison, then surely his assets are quarantined?
Willo is training with them as well!

you might think that we would be more memorable seeing that we stopped you getting top spot in L2 in the last game of the season! :)
I think it was us who stopped that by being on the sauce all week

According to Garrity your lads didn’t even want to be out there that day and wanted the full time whistle!

Looks similar to what Lincoln are doing with their away end.

A roof and bigger allocation is much appreciated!
Well, were going to do.

We've had to scale back because the cost went from £2m or so as we were about to start it in March 2020 to closer to £4m. Now it's a two phased project and we're initially spending £2.4m on the Lincoln City Foundation element of it, which is mainly behind and under the existing stand with a view to doing phase two, which is the capacity increase, in a couple of years.

Jon Palmer is the best Shrewsbury reporter we’ve ever had ;)
Not going down too well with our fans TBF. Micky and his mates. Couple of silly jokes on B&A but nobody's really laughing about it
Wouldn't be happy if another L1 club did it to us so I can understand how you feel

It is very much Micky and his mates - he wanted Matt Taylor at Cheltenham last year but got overruled by the board who wanted Wade Elliott.

Then he was the only one prepared to give Marcus Bignot a chance after his disciplinary issues (never sat comfortably with me that we hired him to be fair) because he was a mate, and now Tom Ware.

It's funny in a way because Moore only got the job at Cheltenham because he was a mate of then Cheltenham chairman Andy Wilcox. If you start seeing him in the director's boxes then you have a real reason to be concerned. Bloke is a proper snake-oil salesman.

Got what he deserved really. Doesn’t seem to have effected Fleetwood given how they have spent since the trial went on whether that’s getting his money tied up elsewhere ahead of any proceeds of crime process is another matter.

Absolutely brilliant, perhaps saving it for his entrance into prison lol

Any idea how this affects the club as a whole then? With the recent signings of Broom and Mayor etc I was curious as to how the club was currently being funded.

We know how they must feel as it wasn’t too long ago Ipswich took Hurst, Doig and Skitt off us as well as then pinching Nsiala and Nolan off us for two million quid with just two weeks until our first game of the season. It’s shit but there’s no loyalty in football anymore. Just chase the £££.

Definitely going to be an interesting first game of the season, can imagine their whole club wants to put one on us.

Judge Graham Knowles KC said,

“Andrew James Pilley, the removal to prison of your loyal employee, your sometime best friend and your own sister is your doing as well as theirs.

“In 1998 you went to prison for four months for conspiracy to steal from the post office where you were a counter clerk.

“Yours could have been a remarkable story of redemption, success, local heroism and philanthropy. Instead it is a sordid tale of squalid lies, greed and fraud.

“You told brazen lies to the jury. When confronted with your own words typed with your own hands you complained ludicrously of trial by email.

“Missing from your evidence was any conventional sense of honesty.”

The summing up from the Judge was spot on, Pilley has spent a kings ransom in hiring top QC's, lawyers and it's not made an iota of difference. If he were to serve 13 years ( which we know he won't ) that would make me 90, I will be delighted to still be around ha ha

Judge has given him a minimum term of 9 years though. I read the full article and the judge has absolutely thrown the book at him and treated him with utter contempt.

Don't want good honest pros, fans and employees to suffer but I really do fear for Fleetwood after today's news.

The EFL have got a decision to make now because if he's still legally the owner (was the legal transfer just about day to day running or ownership?) then he'd be forced to sell? If he's now not the owner and transferred it whilst under investigation, surely that's illegal? And presumably any fraudulent monies would look to be recovered from assets under his control, which will include Fleetwood?

Fleetwood are just fortunate with the timing and fixtures set because personally if I were in charge I’d boot them out of the EFL.

It’s frankly proven now they have grabbed their place in the EFL only through fraud and criminal act backing.

Granted their defence could probably be quite a few other owners but their entire set up has been funded from it, not really an EFL set up club which gained a few good years off back of a bad chairman, they’d be no where without it all.

It’s an insult to most of the previous clubs who missed out on promotions in previous seasons through the financial advantages that club gained through very dodgy means.

Of course now club brings out statement saying it was the person and never the club……aye right.

Ah well isn’t the first and won’t be the last can remember that vaughan guy at chester
