'Ave it.

Preston the big losers this weekend. They dropped points at home to an injury-hit Leyton Orient last night while the other three breakaway teams all recorded wins today.

Disappointing to say the least but we're not finished yet!

I'd feel sorry for the 2 teams in the top 4 (miles ahead of the rest) who don't go up/have to suffer the play-offs.

Bristol City/Swindon top 2.

2 points off the play-offs.
Signing players left right and centre.
On an excellent run of form.

Interesting game Tuesday, winner with the chance to go sixth. We've been shite for weeks, but Hayhurst/Daniels/Thomas coming in actually made us look capable of scoring today. That we're still just two points off after the run of form we've been on is ridiculous.

It's going to be a draw I reckon.

Hope Chesterfield make the play-offs based on today's showing. One of few teams to visit the County Ground and actually look like they want to attack us.

So do I Mike. Been reading TheTownEnd and quite a few of your lot said we went there and gave it a real go, which is pretty standard for us under Cookie. What went off with his strop??

Hi mate. Good to see you here. Very impressed with your lot today. No idea what ticked Cook off but just putting it down to obvious passion for his team/the game. He brought his side to Swindon to play football, they did that and they came away with nothing. Sides have visited the CG, done less and come away with more (Doncaster I am looking at you) so not surprised he got a bit annoyed. Play like that for the rest of the season and you should make the top 6.

I'd have been happy with just consolidation at the start of the season, but the longer it goes on, and some of the stuff we've played this year has been sublime, I'm starting to feel a top 6 finish is doable. Preferably pipping the Blades with a win at theirs on the last day!!!

Well after a shocker last week we've bounced back into contention. Plenty of teams fighting for it. 4 wins in 6 huge games at home to Crewe and away to Barnsley for us.

I think we can safely say that we are staying up now this season before the end of Jan not bad for a team tipped for relegation by the bookies

Still hanging on in there.

It's a big IF but we should play twice before Swindon & Bristol City are in league action again (home to Barnsley and away at Scunthorpe on Tuesday week). Win them both and we'll be top.

However, I hear a rumour that Swindon are trying to re-arrange a home game against Doncaster for next Saturday. Any news on that?

They were like that at our place, pressed us high, went for it and were unfortunate to lose to a 90th minute winner. Impressive side.

Very good game today. Was ace to see a team come to attack us and not be content to sit back and hope for the best.

We should have scored 4 or 5 first half but Chesterfield could have had a couple more of their own, think it was Ryan possibly who smashed the bar which would have made it 2-2 and a real edgy second half.

Thankfully Williams struck early in the second, huge goal.

We weren't at our best but held firm. Chesterfield are a good shout to make the final play off spot based on what I saw today.

Kasim and Luongo returning will make us even stronger. Hugely impressed with how we're coping.

If Swindon and my beloved City haven't been caught in the next fortnight, bearing in mind we don't play a league game until then, is the 4 a 2?
Someone else HAS to challenge, surely MK and PNE aren't gone already? (looks for a fishing smilie but can't find it).
