Preston will be out of sight before we play Swindon.

Evening all, after a brief exile I am back and looking forward to the run-in.

I though Preston looked incredibly ordinary on TV this afternoon and there will be a few nervy supporters in Lancashire I am sure as we enter the home straight.

Begrudgingly, I must offer a congratulations to my good friends down the M4 with the inevitable not too far away....

Keep telling yourselves that, you need 6pts from your next two games

It was blowing a hoolie down here today so I assume the Fylde coast was pretty blowy? That wouldn't have made for a high quality game to be fair.

It's our run in that I'm concerned about, but after your slip today, you could say that promotion is now in our own hands, in theory - win our game in hand and beat you and we'd be two points ahead.

Of course, it's not as simple as that as we don't play our game in hand, or you next, so it's almost irrelevant.

Just one game at a time for us then, and its MK and City next for us. Doh!

Beat them though and that'll really give us hope. 6 points is a massive ask though tbh

I reckon if we win, and play well, against Franchise we will go on to beat City, too.

A spluttering performance and we'll be up against it at AG

We are right back in it considering we are only 5 points behind 2nd, have to play Swindon Town and have the easiest run in of any of the top 4 (on paper!).

Better be different to the one he gave at the CG or you will have another red card

You're done for.

Done diddly done for!

What if we beat you? We'd then be 2 points above with a better GD. I hate this false hope. If you beat us, then it is game over I accept that but a win or a draw would keep us in it for sure, especially as I have mentioned because our fixtures look easier (ON PAPER).

Any idea what sort of team talk cotterill will give prior to swindon.... Or will he just run video of their joyous scenes at full time at county ground :box:
Just put up a picture of that prick celebrating winning the league in November in front of the City fans or the bastard Toffolo with his arms in the air when Wade was sent off. I would imagine that would do!

I am hoping for a Kevin Keegan style pre match rant from Cotterill, to be fair his post match interview at he County Ground will not be beaten easily - comedy gold.

I notice John has Swindon as 'pride of the West Country' on his details. What a load of old bollocks that is!

Hopefully we will have a strong ref on the 7th - what with the City antics last time including the Elliott assault, our players need all the protection they can get.

I will return to this page of the thread when we go above Swindon Town on Saturday and then at the end of the season when we finish 2nd. Ye of little faith.

It's not that I don't have faith SA, more a case of not really giving a shit! :hypo:
I am going to enjoy watching the battle for 2nd once our elevation is confirmed.
