Jamie Proctor and Chris Taylor to sign at the weekend after FL agree we can sign players. No disrespect but never heard of them

Surprised that Bolton moved for Proctor as he wasn't rated at Fleetwood, but managers seem to like him mostly because of his team ethic.
His lack of goals wore us down in the end and a club in our position cannot really accommodate a striker who rarely scores given there is generally a lack of goals in the team as a whole.
Leaving us hasn't held Proctor back though, two bigger clubs on the back of it in Bradford and Bolton.

A very good player, classy on the ball but has had a couple of injuries whilst with us. Out of contract but was offered a contract, although on reduced terms if rumours are to be believed. I'll be very sorry to see him go, hope Mellon has a decent replacement lined up!

Southend also had talks with him apparently.

Our local press saying he's going to Bradford on a 2yr deal - great move for him!

Yeah offering your club captain a new contract on less money isn't going to cut it really is it? Although if injury prone you can understand why.

I don't know about Doughty's contract situation but Kasim has one more year on his contract doesn't he?

Ideally just a straight swap. I would value Kasim at somewhere between 300k-500k and I assume QPR would value Doughty at the same so I don't think a straight swap is out of the question. LP won't be undersold anyway, that's one thing we can be sure of.

Apparently we are trying to sign Beautyman from Posh, from what Barry Fry said in a recent interview it just sounds like we need to agree a fee.

We've signed Matthew Stevens from Barnet on a 3 year deal.

Looks like one for the future but his stats last year were outstanding.

18 years old and scored 56 goals for Barnet last year, mainly under 21 goals but bagged a couple for the first team too.

Proctor is one of those players who looks decent in all departments until you realise he's a striker and he probably won't score more than 10 goals a season.

Said exactly the same when he was with us when he was about 19/20, has all the attributes to go to the very top but he just has zero striking instincts. Can't fault his effort but i'd rather see it used for busting a gut to get on the end of crosses, rather than closing down goalkeepers.

That said, 6 goals in less than 20 starts for Bradford last season isn't bad going.

Good player is Proctor but Im hoping we are aiming for higher than him next season, would of liked to keep him as a squad player but i can only assume you have guaranteed him more first team football than we could.
