The budget is nonsense, though. If clubs are able and willing to spend, let them.

If it all goes tits up, so be it.
Swindon paying more out than Bolton this season......FACT please tell me how you are going to pay

It is yeah but I think for clubs that get relegated then they have a period to adjust to the new wage cap of the new division they’re playing in. That and the rules mentioned above about those players signed before the cap was introduced. That said, think we signed all of ours afterwards.
Spearing was signed before.

Another lie, can’t remember the last time we signed anybody on a three year, and definitely not to 32 year olds.

I said three/four because I’m not sure if Bolton have a extension option? Anyway, no more bullshitting to me please, that’s two strikes :D
Haha your a funny man why would we offer a extension to a 35 year old when we will be in the Championship

Please let me know what we’re paying. I have no idea. Most of our newbies are on 1 year deals or loans

At a guess, I’d say we’re covered by the Jayden Bogle sell on money we’ve just received.

If the fans are kept away from the grounds until March as Indian Dan stated then without the largesse of wealthy owners I cannot see how clubs can continue.

Crawley have a wealthy owner and a council owned stadium with a really good lease deal but how long can we expect the owner to pay the bills when there are no gate/catering/ancillary monies coming in? Then, is he wealthy enough to do so anyway? With the best will in the world, with no games, the fans will start demanding the season ticket money to be refunded (even if only half do imagine the impact) and then the tax and rate bills drop on the mat.

Extraordinary times may call for Extraordinary measures. Could/would the EFL allow clubs to fold and the Phoenix club retain it's league position if the season is curtailed again?

Problems ahead for sure.

2.5m cap means you will be paying more....players demand and get more money the higher they move up.
I think lge 2 and lge 1 clubs will be hit but its teams such as Luton, Reading,Coventry etc that will be Hardest hit

Just because your cap is £1.5m doesn’t mean that is your actual figure, does it. Your big money signings were signed before the cap so I’d still say your wage bill is higher than ours.

Ffs, you’re committed to paying Doyle somewhere around £600,000 for the duration of his contract.

I’m not bitter. Sad for Doyle going from a club where he was loved to your entitled club where he’s being ridiculed already.

Doyle watch - 0 from 2

He scored a few goals against plumbers and electrician's pre season, and a penalty against Accrington. Worth the money I'd say

When you had an argument saying he was doing wonders pre season a few weeks ago I looked it up and posted it to discredit your nonsense. Short memory?

Our wage budget will be about £2mil this season which whilst is still at the higher end of the division, we have the finances to see the season out with no fans coming through the door.

We got a further £1mil investment in March from our Indonesian investors and whilst £700k went on the pitch, the other £300k has been kept back to deal with the crisis. That’s to add to the £2.5mil we got from them back in September. We also got a quarter of a million for Micky Mellon heading to Dundee United so immediately there’s over half a million we’ve got covered which is a substantial amount in the current environment (Effectively reduces the wage bill from 2mil to 1.5mil already in terms of funds needed)
Finally, a reasoned response from a Tranmere fan. Have added this information to your dossier and downgraded your status from High Risk to Risky.
Which is exactly what I was telling you from the outset. You’ve got the Bradford version.
On the other hand, got a very good mate who is a Blackpool fan and he's been impressed with Jerry Yates so far.

I think the wages cap, and how one gets around it, will be a largely academic problem this year. What matters is income. If there are no spectators until at least March quite a few clubs will not be viable - they simply won’t be getting enough money in to cover their committed wages. A few clubs will have owners who can out the money in, though if they are loans and not equity this is merely moving the date of the day of reckoning. Some will have reserves in a piggy bank or player sales. A few might have been innovative enough to raise reasonable chunks from new sources. A very select few may get a reasonable chunk in from iFollow. But most won’t.

Yes. We have only made six permanent signings and eleven players have left (you missed Danns and Potter off your list), the players we retained are on significantly reduced terms, and we had numerous senior players on loan last season, most on very good wages (Vaughan, Cook, Woodyard, Clarke).

Our squad size has reduced from thirty to twenty.

Forgot the forgettable Ishmael Miller, plus Jordan Ponticelli, Kane Wilson, Borthwick Jackson, Hepburn Murphy, Jacob Maddox,Chapman and Morgan Feeney.
