Where has this rumour come from? Widely posted on twitter but only by our own supporters.

Not a great fan of ex players returning, it rarely works out.
Fingers crossed it will work out for us both plus you get a few quid for it

I was talking about Harry Pell.

As for McCormick, I suspect the sell-on clause would be a sticking point. Most of us would be glad to see the back of him if the rumours of being disruptive at the training ground are true. He was an average player in a below average team last season - he's nothing special.

I thought you said on an earlier thread he was worth half a million at least. Also last season ( when he last played ) I think you'll find most Wimbledon fans were raving about him. Hopefully we won't get relegated. Not sure I could stomach another season in the fourth.
Most Wimbledon fans think his attitude stinks. When he plays well he's probably worth half a million. However he was ok last season nothing special. It not sure where you got the Wimbledon fans were raving about him. A few might've been but not many.

Einstein said the Definition of insanity is doing the same stupid bollocks over and over and expecting different fucking results.

Or words to that effect.
"I,ve been driving in my car" And i think he and Gordon "I was at Sheffield United you know"
Will be driving all the way back to Bonny Scotland shortly.

Unless of course we turn over The Os,.

Nah he,s off.

Thats what I mean ex players coming back McCormick for us and Pell for yourselves.
Just out of interest, If he is so average why are so many wombles fans pissed and demanding you get £200k minimum?
We had him for a season in L1 too, and he was great. Still got a decent goal and assist record for you guys last season?

I think Wimbledon fans would be more understanding towards him if he had been outstanding last season. He was part of the problem. On his day he is no doubt a good player. He just didn't have enough good day's last season. Anyway no one player is bigger than the club. Player's in general do what they want regardless of whether they are under contract.

Yeah it's not worth the paper its written on in terms on length of service, although it does ensure that you get a decent fee for him.
Barton saw enough of him towards the end of our relegation season, and for us he was the only one that looked like he had any fight in him.

Because we signed him to hopefully sell on for loads, therefore he must be worth loads. Or something. I've been repeatedly saying that £200k is around what we can realistically expect and not the fantasy half a million.

He did get some goals and assists, but frankly never seemed to have any fight in him which is what we had expected if nothing else. Technically better than League Two but needs to knuckle down now and turn things round or he'll just be another ex-Chelsea academy player thinking they're too good for where they're actually playing. He's been "injured" for months to force a move while sitting on his arse as our top earner. Good riddance whenever we can finally offload him.

Theo Robinson is training with us, I can imagine us signing a player for a fee/loan and him signing a contract until January just for extra depth now Oates is out potentially untill Christmas.

I hate big squads but Clough runs his a tad too small for me and we are two short overall in my opinion.

Think we need to congratulate his agent if he bags him another league team (a top 3 or so one at that, bonus points), the bloke could sell snow to an Eskimo.

May just be training with us, we usually do offer training to a free agent now and again, but for the role I imagine he’ll be signed to do I don’t really see a problem. The market is very difficult at the moment especially for a frugal Mansfield.

Depends on the contract in reality.

How can I accept whatever that is, for somebody that’s not even signed for us yet?

If we do sign him, yeah I think we should and can do better and just to clarify I do not want us to do that, but I’m not gunna cry over whatever limited role he will play, if I’m not happy with a signing trust me you’ll hear about it, had plenty of experience with that being a Mansfield fan.

Calvin Andrew was a signing we made years ago that was ridiculed, and it quickly became clear why, but he scored his one and only goal for us against Chesterfield, at the Tesco stadium in a 1-0 win so it was all worth it :D

I'm surprised to hear that as in our relegation season he was the only one who did have any fight and he was only on loan.
We know all about Chelsea academy players having had duffers like Charlie Colkett and Clarke-Salter, but he was one of the rare really good loans we've had from them and many of our fans were gutted when he signed for you.

He’s a chuffing dirty bastard basically, well every time he’s played against us, he has been
Basically this but Pell is a sneaky dirty bastard and a wind up merchant to boot. You'll put up with him because he will be your player but you won't like him.

Still a good player though.

Stevenage looking good under Evans, could be a shrewd signing that.

Deffo not happening? Get that on The Fishy and claim top spot in Ska's league table mate.
Deffo not as it stands, I’m worried we won’t sign one whatsoever in all honesty

If McKirdy goes we’re looking at Rutherford - prolific striker with Dorking in the NL on a perm or some youngster Kendall? on loan from Lincoln.

Apparently that Kendall played 80+ minutes against us last night. Presumably he was the centre forward who looked like a scrawny little kid and got absolutely nothing off our two centre backs.

Hibs offered us cash plus Christian Doidge on loan but we turned it down as we want a perm signing. That probably knocks the Lincoln lad out the equation.

Kendall's just stepped up from the NLS where he was one of the top scorers having rejected a new QPR deal to get out and play games last summer. Not ready to play a lone striker in L1, he's one of those who'd need to be in a two I think because he's only a young lad. Definitely looks a proper finisher, though.

That'd only leave us with Hopper as a striker, so I'm not sure about that link tbh.

We've 'offers' in for players, but not expecting anything till late next week if you listen to the drivel coming out of Pools, in others words, thruppence ha'penny bids, we'll end up with some loanee shite from above.
