He's joined you on loan it seems until the end of the season - maybe if he does well we have a recall back clause, or it might be to do with the location as its no suprise he had his best goalscoring season when he moved back to London and lived with his family - He got homesick at Northampton.

Edit: According to Wellens, we have a recall clause for January:

The reality is a man of his size isn't really suited to how Richie Wellens wants to play, he has his uses - but pressing hard from the front pressuring defenders and having to deal with the ball at your feet alot and moving the ball about quickly isn't really his game. He's ok with the ball at his feet but not the best.

For a man of his size he wins most headers and can hold the ball up well. Not the most clinical (then again most strikers down here aren't really). My only gripe would be he doesn't put away enough chances with his head despite his size - he missed too many headed chances for me last season, he did better with his feet.

Time will tell if this will benefit us or not, for me he was still a very good and experienced option to have off the bench. He missed all of pre season injured and has been slowly getting back up to speed, he's cut a frustrated figure since coming back because he lost his place in the team. Good Luck to him, he was decent for us in the first half of last season but his form dipped (along with everyone else) when we went 15 games without a win at the start of the year.
Cheers!

Interesting that there’s a recall on him for January. Hopefully he’ll do well for us but somehow stay the second half of the season! From his goal highlights it looks like he loves a rebound!

We tend to send in a lot of crosses so hopefully he can get some decent service. Overall, fairly pleased.

Had a couple of explosive games for us in our brief sojourn in league one, but quite anonymous when played out wide.

I suspect we're going to be looking him to play wide in a front 3. He's going to take a while to get to match fitness, coming back from injury and has been working with our backroom staff most of the summer but intrigued by him.

Has the lad from Plymouth gone anywhere yet?
Still waiting...as we are for McKirdy news. Have a feeling Hibs will stop pissing about and give us what we want in the end.

(A happy) McKirdy staying and Jephcott signing would be the dream ticket but doubt that happens.

New poster appeared on our forum and said two new big signings which would show our intent.

First one is Tom Fellows a 19 year old highly rated striker on loan from WBA. He has appeared 6 times last season (4 league) and scored 0 goals.

Wow! As statements of intent go that one is hardly shivering me timbers. We let our top scorer leave for a rival and sign someone who has never scored. Hopefully he is better than those stats.

No idea on the second signing. Probably another highly rated academy kid.

We’ve beaten off competition from Chesterfield and Eastleigh to sign highly-rated Pompey defender Hadji Mnoga on loan.

BAM!

Kept my pecker up all pre season, thought give it a chance but hope long gone. Knew at half time 2 or 3 down at Walsall first game we're heading back there, just live in hope we can somehow muster enough to finish 22nd

Re-signed a player who refused a contract extension at the end of last season, but because of his age anyone else wanting him would have had to pay compo, and they didn’t want to.

BAM!

That’s underwhelming of you. I’m more than happy with that

God you are irritating sometimes Dirk. It's a tremendous signing and as I stated to the Plymouth fan is probably now the catalyst to kick start our season. I think the business we've done today has been excellent.
