Ten first year scholar signed up including Bright Amoateng. He was in liverpools u19s at 14 Moved on to Bury at 15
Played a few u23 games for us last year. Played bit parts in 4 pre season games and scored 4.
Good future prospect
Based on what exactly? Have you seen him play ?
Liverpool to Bury suggests he's not all that

We’ve signed Owura Edwards on loan from Bristol City, don’t know anything about him but his highlight reel looks decent (don’t they all).

staggeringly we’ve got rid of assistant manager Anthony Limbrick and have decided to go on without one at all for financial reasons. Obviously we’ve not announced it yet, because our board clearly think we’re idiots and just won’t find out.

Based on not many if any play for liverpool under 19s at 14. No idea why he went to bury at 15 maybe it was the promise of first team football....Nobody is going to move those three at Liverpool any time soon certainly no kid.

Bury unfortunatly went under [despite what people say i certainly did not want that] He played a few u23 games for us last season and obviously impressed.
Evatt included him in the first team pre season games. Think he scored 4/5 in less than 180 mins in total
Hey if you cannot get excited about signings like that you may as well stop watching it....He is a kid and may well flop. He is a unit big quick all muscle with the right coaching he could have a good career

I get what you are saying. Lower league football is full of ex Liverpool, United, City etc . Kids who never progressed. They sign them by the bucket full and discard them.
Hopefully he does well for you though

Yes but every now and again one gets you excited,we have had numerous wonderkids down the years few ever made it, or we discarded them at a early age.

Not having a assistant is just stupid, what’s going on?

We went without an assistant for a season under Holdsworth. He was given a budget of £50k for his salary and his assistants but decided to keep the money, not have an assistant and bring in two coaches on expenses only instead (Curtis Woodhouse and Gary Charles).

Kevin Ellison's physical body is maybe early 40s but his spirit is much much older.

Ellison has signed short term while he does his badges at dragon park, he will mainly be assistant coach to wayne hatswell though he has signed a player/coach contract, hopefully the playing part wont be too often but he could be useful for the last 20 mins in a tight game.

Respect to Ellison he can give it and take it. Loves to wind opposition fans up but all in good spirits.
Fair play to him and the guy at Crawley who is also still going strong

In fairness £50k isn't a lot to pay the wages of two senior staff members

Shaun Miller forward from crewe been about. Played at Morecambe on loan last season second signing in two days that i think will play very little. Just do not get these type of signings

That's a surprising signing. Was very good in his first spell at Morecambe and hasn't been able to replicate those performances anywhere else, usually ends up as third or fourth choice striker. Fast, but has been quite wasteful everywhere else. At least he will score goals; we've all had strikers down the pecking order who your manager keeps bringing on when you need a goal and you just think 'what's the point, doesn't even look like scoring'... strikers like *cough* Georg Iliev *cough*, but sure Bolton could have found a young striker for the future who would do a better job in the present.

He is named on the bench today with a young kid we have just signed 17 year old Bright Amoateng.....

where the f,,,k do i start Crellin decent not his fault for the goals Taft decent game. Santos liability 6/6 and he played out on the touchline.. Not a right back. Baptiste steady but jesus christ he is under 6 foot and he played in the centre

Jones ok in patches , but the role does not suit he is no wing back. Gordon good with the ball at his feet, lacking a bit of self believe he is better than he thinks. Comley tip tap can see why his passing completion stats are good.....top and bottom never protected the defendce. No creativity in him. White what a good player neat tidy never give the ball away todays bonus if the is one. Sarcevic not good enough today very quiet you are the captain if you are not having a good game with the ball you can still lead from the front i did not see that.

Delafonsau and Doyle pretty much starved today......but they are not a partnership

Cheers Vanni. Good luck to you this season also, moving out of London and Cambridgeshire is on our list so I might come and watch some of your games if it happens!!

And hey, don’t let our opinions on May dampen your spirits, cobblers fans laughed at us when we signed Sam Parkin and he is now a bona fide club legend!

That's great, we could always do with more fans! Seriously though, house hunting can be a long and frustrating process especially when one goes about it the right way and not only look at the property itself but to the surroundings/neighbours etc etc. So, keep calm and good luck!

We're signing Andy Cook. Any good?
He wasn't involved in our friendly today against Burnley even though we played two 11's each. When I read it I guessed he was on his way out.

We paid a decent fee last summer and he will be on decent wages too so most fans didn't expect him to find a club with the salary cap. Coughlan plays a pressing game with fitness one of his main principals so naturally Cook doesn't lend himself to that style and swiftly got himself out last Jan. He's got a good record for us so wouldn't be glad to see him go but we could probably use the space in the squad/wages for someone who would suit the team more, we already have 4 other senior strikers in the squad.

The salary cap won't really affect us, as we're told that we're nowhere near that. Plus we're supposedly a lot better off financially than what we budgeted for - I still wouldn't expect us to cover his entire wages (what will it be, £2k?) but there must be something in it.
