I enjoyed our run in this tournament last season, ending with defeat at Anfield. Hopefully we can put together another cup run this season.

I'm not fussed either way. Plenty of good away nights out in the Northern seeded section. Knowing our luck we'll get Rotherham again or Rochdale.

You might note that Posh, 40 miles UP the A14/A1 are in the Southern (seeded) section, as are Wolves, Coventry, Birmingham and Villa.

We got Villa at home, would have preferred it to be away but alas, a decent draw.

Happy with Brighton away, never been, looks nice and not too far. Can't complain even if we will no doubt lose.

Southend away. Good in terms of travel times, but that's our first league game as well. Which makes it quite dull.

We've got Port Vale at home, and although it's nothing exciting, I'm pretty happy. I'd say they're probably the weakest team in the 'northern seeded' section - similar to our fixture with Chesterfield in the 1st round last season.
