I enjoyed our run in this tournament last season, ending with defeat at Anfield. Hopefully we can put together another cup run this season.

Anybody you'd like to play?

How are Cambridge in the northern section? I'd have thought Cheltenham was more northern.

I'm not fussed either way. Plenty of good away nights out in the Northern seeded section. Knowing our luck we'll get Rotherham again or Rochdale.

You might note that Posh, 40 miles UP the A14/A1 are in the Southern (seeded) section, as are Wolves, Coventry, Birmingham and Villa.

Seeded eh....shittest we could get would probably be Newport away, so it'll be that.

Any of the unseeded teams at home would do me nicely, best chance to progress. However wouldn't mind any of them away either, apart from I'd like to try and avoid Cambridge United at the Abbey.

Nit-picking but why did they have to change the name of this as well? Just leave as it always has been, the League Cup.

Refreshing change for us not being knocked out in R1 this time around.

Well I think we're quite an attractive draw personally..

Northampton and Cambridge in the Northern section. Good one.

I want Rochdale at home, just for the sheer yawn factor.

Would be quite nice to go to Bristol's #1 side for a change, so yeah...Bristol City away please.

Villa, Ipswich, Brighton (especially away), Fulham or QPR would all suit me.
We'll probably get Walsall away then!

Haha, away to Sheff Utd. The first round this year looks awful for the most part.

We got Villa at home, would have preferred it to be away but alas, a decent draw.

Happy with Brighton away, never been, looks nice and not too far. Can't complain even if we will no doubt lose.

Southend away. Good in terms of travel times, but that's our first league game as well. Which makes it quite dull.

We've got Port Vale at home, and although it's nothing exciting, I'm pretty happy. I'd say they're probably the weakest team in the 'northern seeded' section - similar to our fixture with Chesterfield in the 1st round last season.
