Certainly the biggest away following this season at ours. Im going with the club estimate of 3600. Anything over 2000 would be superb.

Sheff United were on for 3500 before the postponed game with walk ups expected etc.

Confirmed as 1,595 Bury fans which is decent considering the horrific away form we've had to put up with. No more for me.

We have sold our initial allocation of 1,400 for Southend on Saturday and have been given another 600.
I reckon we should them in the next 5 days.

Haven't sold too many for Gillingham in a few weeks. Don't fancy us taking more than 700.
We should sell easily the 800 for Peterborough match on Sky.

1070 sold before general sale for Shrewsbury. Only have 1540 so can see a good number disappointed as no more being given.

Over 1000 sold for Swindon live on Sky on good Friday. 15 free coaches helped swell that number.

Sonw good followings coming up from Wigan for the remainder of this season I think.

Glad you do,one of the few, a lot of clubs criticise it for the view or say it's too shallow.
i don,t think our ground is too bad apart from the unfinished concrete jungle which will never be built.
Noticed on the goals show that you had both ends yesterday due to one man and his dog from Fleetwood. What was the thinking behind that ? more atmosphere ? Was the attendance bigger than normal ?

We have toyed with swapping home ends but the old bill frown upon it.
I also loved your away end.
Went a few years ago when we played you in the FA Cup and surprised me what a great atmosphere that end could make even with only around 450 of us in it.
The sort of ground that doesn't look great on tv, but seeing it in person was really impressed by it.

That's something I've been saying for years about our ground. We're a club that needs investment (we're currently up for sale) so the whole image of the club needs to be improved as a lot of people's first impression of Vale will be from the few highlights they see on TV. This is why I hate the short sighted view that we don't need to complete the lorne street. For me, we should finish that, put the TV cameras on the paddock side, and then the ground would look so much better. Corners filled in, the best 3 stands in the ground on show, and then if we're clever about our pricing we may be able to get more fans in to those stands. Still baffles me why our paddock is the most popular stand in the ground, shows the lack of ambition the people of stoke on trent have. We fear change.

I switched from the Lorne Street to the Paddock a decade ago for the simple reason although the facilities are pants compared to the superb ones in the Lorne Street the atmosphere is 10 x better in the paddock.

It sounds loud when you're in the paddock, but everywhere else in the ground just sees a few people with their arms outstretched making next to no noise. It just doesn't travel well. I'd give it to away fans if I had my way and put Vale fans in the Hamil End. Like the Grimsby fan said, even a small number of fans can generate a decent atmosphere in there. Would never happen though, especially at the Vale. Too many miserable old farts been sitting in the same seat since 1960 and refuse to even consider that there are better options out there. The only times we generate any kind of atmosphere from the paddock is when it is rammed full and we have a big away following to goad, and even then we sound shit in comparison. Gone are the days when we used to have the bycars rocking back in the 90's. Shame.

I agree with Mozzavale that the paddock is a terrible stand. I go in the Bycars which is nearly as bad but I prefer siting behind the goal. As for the paddocks atmosphere from what I can hear most of it is yelling abuse at the away fans or Steino is a tosser, who is a shit striker who retired 20 years ago, would be nice if they supported their own team occasionally.

Bradford sold the 1600 initial allocation and sold 500 of the new 1500 allocation so its looking to be a 3000 plus following for them. The whole stand is open so they can bring up to 4500 if they have a good walk up.

I thought they would sell the whole stand quite easily tbh especially given current form. They probably still will

Not sure if we'll need the full stand, but on our last visit we took just under 5,100 - any valid reason for such a large segregation?

I think we'll take around 4,000.

Another shit following from us at the weekend, only 900 sold for millwall. All our followings will be shit from now on actually apart from chesterfield for obvious reasons. Southend away midweek on sky will be about 600. Shrewsbury away midweek 700. Chesterfield 2k or 2.8k if they give us extra. Coventry away 1.2k tops with fuck all to play for.

If we keep up our form, could we possibly pip you to top away average?

We do have some pretty dire fixtures coming up, so it would depends purely on form and how shit you fare.

Wigan - 4,000
Crewe - 2,000
Shrewsbury - 1,600
Coventry (tues) - 500-1000
Southend - 500-2000

It's a shame Coventry is on a Tues again, I'd love to attend that game - still might yet depending on work.

Southend following depends on what rides on it, obviously.

You wont be far off but will fall short with those figures i think.

We've sold 1600 for Southend on saturday, with a further 400 still to sell. Perfectly possible we'll sell out.

Fair play to Bradford and Wigan, had some followings to be commended at this level this season

Although I think they're only doing it because both clubs have got wind of this thread.

"Come on lads, if we put 15 free coaches on to Swindon we'll get our average up to 1,200"

We put free coaches on for visiting supporters, because a bigger home adverage is far more important.

Blackpool's turn out is OK given that they've presumably given up. The home crowd is shite though given the gravity of the game and the resurgence under 'Shez'.

Walsall's following is worse that Blackpool's given the circumstances.

Using your figures Sheff Utd would need 5800 from their last five to remain top.

It's an hour away. Walsall to Fleetwood is 2 hours. Walsall's is better in any circumstances. We took 636 to Oldham in the JPT 2nd round last season. It's pathetic.

Can't knock blackpools turnouts this season, they don't care whatsoever do they lol

Our turnout was ok given it was postponed twice and just after Chesterfield away. Another mid week fixture which I'm gutted wasnt on the weekend

I take anything a Preston fan says about Blackpool with a pinch of salt, this included.

Eh? How is that Millwall following shit? It's excellent given you have nothing really left to play for.

Not a clue what our followings be. If we are going for the play offs they will be massive.
If not, then there will be some piss poor turnouts.
