Some real names to make you question your life choices in the mix, then; Boreham Wood, Solihull Moors, Bromley, Northampton. *shudder*

As per usual we’ll know a lot more by the end of the Easter weekend, but Friday could see a fond(?) farewell to Scunny and the confirmation of a whole host of current mid-table no-marks and the award of the prestigious Mid-Table Cup. Which, as we all know, is the real quiz.

Not going to happen, but couldn't Southend still technically make the playoffs?
Potentially 68 points, 7th place currently 63?

Edit: and Woking, and even Altrincham?

Obviously Stockport are going to win the Conference. If we are still down here I hope its someone like Notts to come up to give a decent away day. Would say Torquay but think it's too much to ask sadly. Wrexham can do one until they start giving away fans behind the goal again.

While obviously there are some well financed clubs coming up that does balance out by in my opinion these clubs coming down from L1 whoever they may be are probably one of the weaker groups in a while.

Indeed. I forgot that Dover weren’t forfeiting the season again. Easy mistake to make tbh. Never mind, I’m sure I’ll be able to scrub the Mudrats off the list soon enough.

Hopefully irrelevant to us but Notts would be a good away day and local for me, that said I’d rather Wrexham didn’t as they are throwing ridiculous money at it (so are Stockport mind). Probably be Stockport and someone like Solihull though.

Teams coming down look far weaker than recent seasons, their low totals points wise suggest they would struggle this season at this level (we went down on 49 points last time!) max anyone can get is 50 and that’s winning all four so more likely around 42 to survive which is low.

Don't want Oldham to go down (preferably Stevenage) but if they do we need local rivals. So can Halifax kindly win the playoffs, please.

Salford are non-entities not worth bothering with and Stockport, while mildly respectable, are in Cheshire.

So we'll look to God's Own County for rivalry if the worst comes to the worst. If Halifax don't come up, we'll have to adopt Bradford...

It’s looking more likely than not that Rovers will be in L2 again next season.

There are a few grounds in those on the L1 relegation contenders that I’ve not done, while purely because it would be against expectations would like to see Morecambe staying up. If I were picking would take AFC Wimbledon, Burton and Fleetwood.

On the NL, Stockport coming up is inevitable and don’t want another money-bags side so Wrecsam can wait. For reasons of geography, Halifax would be ideal, while would rather Boringwood stayed put.

Shrewsbury & Burton are both mathematically safe as Fleetwood have to play both Wimbledon & Gillingham.

But if Fleetwood beat Wimbledon and lose to Gillingham both they and Gills can still finish on 50 points, so above Burton and Shrews

Could potentially have plenty of local games next season. We could have Vale, Stockport, Wrexham, Tranmere, Walsall Salford, Rochdale and Oldham. All within an hour away from us.

If, as looks likely, we stay down I wouldn’t mind Wimbledon joining League 2. It’s very local to Sutton, however despite this and both Sutton’s and the various Wimbledon clubs long non-league history we’ve only been in the same division as a Wimbledon club once since World War 2, the 1963/64 season.

As expected, not a huge amount of movement today. No-mark mid-table nonentities Hartlepool, Orient and Walsall confirmed their near-inevitable participation, whilst Scunthorpe exited stage left as expected. In League One Shrews & Burton achieved safety with Lincoln all but assured of being scratched off the list of potentials* (*BTVS fo’ life) on Monday. In the Conference, both Woking and non-league Sarfend United are confirmed as Woking and non-league Sarfend in non-league’s non-league division next season. How sad.

Altrincham don't have Town at the end of their name - it's just Altrincham.

We’re back in our rightful place as mid table League 2 Andies, excellent.

I'm sure everyone will agree that it will be a real shame if Fleetwood came back down...

IF we stay up then Fleetwood and Morecambe coming down would be great. I'm guessing you don't want the long trip in L1 next season though.....

I've petitioned for this for years. Make L1 Southerners only and have L2 as the designated Northern League.

No thanks. I'd much rather go to Bolton or Derby than Gillingham and Colchester
