Look up the definition of narcissist in a dictionary and you will understand why you even find the need to make that kind of statement.

They always take the piss gaining yardage as well, hardly ever gets taken from where it actually goes out of play. On top of that no one bloody moves to show for the ball most of the time which makes the throw take ages and eventually when it's taken loses possession straight away.

The worst one I can remember seeing was Bradford at home last season. The ball brushed the corner flag when it went off the pitch and by the time he'd finished hesitating and taking extra steps he eventually threw it level with the edge of the penalty area, so he'd gained 18 yards!

I'm not usually overly bothered by stuff like this to be fair, a couple of yards here and there really makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. Everyone behind the goal going mental because the ball for a corner kick is possibly half a centimetre outside the quadrant etc, stupid really. Even then it is probably technically still overhanging the white line and perfectly legal.

Watched a interview Holloway did Friday. Saying the team needed money to keep going. Said he was going to a meeting now where he basically had to let players go. No surprise the team played like they did Saturday.
Have any of those players been let go or is this yet another bit of grandstanding by Holloway?

Holloway said he released 2 players who have denied this !!
Still nothing confirmed. Ludvig Ohman's release has been agreed, just waiting on official confirmation. He hasn't denied anything, so not sure where you're getting that from Masi. Moshni's contract hasn't been sorted yet, but Ollie wants him out - that much is evident. I think what's happened is that Ollie has mentioned that they're getting released in the heat of the moment, thinking that he has the power to do this and that it'll be done and dusted easily. What he won't have accounted for is that Fenty and Day will be trying to shaft Moshni by paying him off with as little as possible. Moshni is obviously digging his heels in.

Why did you sign Moshni?

We had him on trial at the back end of last season and apparently he was in great shape and looking well up for it and Holloway wanted to add some experience and versatility. Always had the makings of a car crash. He's admitted it was a mistake though, so fair play to him on that.

Think something happened on Friday which obviously did not go down well, hence Saturdays performance.
Not Holloways fault. Tough calls are going to have to be made up and down the country this week.
Its been widely stated up to 10 clubs do not have money to pay Novembers wages.
Holloway said in that interview Grimsby was a well run club and have enough money to last through until March

Yeah, well run in the financial sense. We're not releasing players to make ends meet in immediate terms, we're releasing players to free up funds so that we can get someone in to fill the James Hanson sized hole in the starting lineup.

There's no evidence to suggest anything went down behind the scenes. We have a lot of young inexperienced members in the squad, poor performances are going to happen unfortunately. The experienced players on the pitch on Saturday all had shockers and heads dropped. It was clear to see in the second half that Holloway is capable of picking them up. Take nothing away from Tranmere too, they were far far better than us in the first half. Ruthless opening 30mins from them.

We’re an odd and inconsistent team.

We’re built to counter - fast, which will explain why our away form is much better than our home form.

If we’re up against a low block, we just can’t break it down and we’re too open at the back as our defence is shite, though improving ever so slightly.

Considering we’d picked up just 1 point from the first 6 games, our current league position isn’t too bad..

Sort the defence out and we can probably challenge (though a competent coach would also help).

You also have to bear in mind we have been missing our main two forwards, if those two had played at exeter the score would have been greater imo..... fine tweaks and a settled team could see a good second hslf of the season.

So the Exeter v Oldham game could quite easily have been a hammering for Exeter? That's pretty impressive tbf, wouldn't have expected that given Exeter are meant to be a decent side. Oldham could be dark horses then.

The team looks to be improving, very quick on the break, got goalscorers but defence has been up and down. But if you score plenty youve always a chance.
We'll see what the next few months bring

Hammering is a stretch as that’d sound like we battered them when in reality, despite us playing the entire 2nd half on the counter and in fairness missing a couple of great chances, Exeter certainly had their own chances that their possession warranted, but our keeper played well.

I’d argue though that any side in this league missing players like McAleny & Dearnley would miss the impact they’re capable of having.

As for the defence, if only we had a proven, experienced CB on the books that could lead our young defenders and give us a more solid platform....
