Massive risk throwing Sturridge straight in, normally you'd give him a month to catch up, if he gets injured again Rodgers will get the blame. Also makes signing Ings more pointless, surely you'd play him when Sturridge obviously isn't fully fit?

Rodgers is gambling yes, but he needs to, he doesn't have time to wait another few weeks on Sturridge, and he really needs the win today.

He's not fully fit, so the chances of him getting injured again are probably more likely than him scoring.

Got to play him sometime I suppose though, he could get injured in training a la Henderson; better to play him when it means something and see how he is. That'll be the thinking anyway.

Bah, a clear chance for Sturridge there, should have done better. He's looked lively enough but his touch has let him down at times, to be expected after so long out though.

That'll settle the nerves, Ings with a well taken goal there.

The dive by Sturridge in the first half was despicable.

Good stop by Ruddy, Coutinho was probably a bit greedy but in that position anyone would have gone for it.

Well you can't expect to win after missing 4 sitters. Nonetheless good performance from Ings, Moreno and Sakho.

What a waste of time. Is the date set for when next season starts?

good point for Liverpool against one of their fellow strugglers, might be the point that keeps them up.

Watching Liverpool is like having a Swiss watch with a wonky mechanism. Rodgers is that mechanism, he cannot get them ticking at all.

Fuck this pish, I'm off for my tea. :sna:

Very poor result for Liverpool, fair reflection of the game?
