Very poor result for Liverpool, fair reflection of the game?
Not really, but it doesn't matter. We've drawn at home to newly promoted teams since the turn of the century and we probably will until it turns again.

Did Milner play in the centre again?

The longer Milner plays there the longer Liverpool will struggle. He doesn't have the ability or intelligence to play there full time.

I'm starting to worry the Liverpool fans and owners are starting realise this joker isn't up the job too. We should enjoy him while we can and hope the next guy is just as comical.

So tough to watch games at anfield, it's like someones pressed mute, zero atmosphere, the corporate money and toursit dollar really has ripped the club of it's soul.

Feeling a bit more upbeat, Mark Lawrenson says there is reason for optimism in the display today and they will win a lot of games playing like that moving forward. Just a pity they can't defend for shit then is it... :ffs:

I've just seen Sturridge's dive on Match of the Day.

A complete and utter disgrace is how I would describe it to be quite frank with you all.

The performance was improved (slightly maybe and also not hard to have been!) because there was a better balance to the line-up and the personnel were more likely, however it still was meh... Sturridge understandably looked rusty but his mere presence alongside Benteke & then Ings helped, it's daft it's taken him returning for two up top to be used though.

Milner really struggled. Henderson will be a huge miss, he's a better player than many give him credit for but he's an integral part of the side and key to us playing well. He's our most important player.

There were some very good individual performances tbf, Moreno & Ings in particular. Ings has pleasantly surprised me from what I've seen of him so far.

Poor result though, some bad finishing let us down as did Mignolet having a brainfart, but it shouldn't have come to that. Brendan needs a win, the owners may be still seemingly behind him but everyone else has turned or is doing so...

It's been like that for a while now too.

The current situation exacerbates it, but like basically every ground, it's been like that for years. Every ground around the country gets quiet, and they were back in the prehistoric days before "modern football" too. I know we have the mythological atmosphere and Anfield is brilliant when it's on form, but tbh it's rather tedious hearing about it now. I thought everyone knew Anfield is terrible for run of the mill games for about 15 years now.

It's not as bad as the Hodgey days yet, but it's getting increasingly poisonous.
