Just had a look on wikipedia (I know shit source but)

• If Liverpool are the Europa League title holders, no changes to the access list are necessary, since they do not qualify for either the Champions League or Europa League through domestic performance.
• If Sevilla are the Europa League title holders, and also win the 2015–16 Copa del Rey, the Europa League group stage berth that they qualify for through domestic performance is vacated, and the following changes to the access list are made:
  • The domestic cup winners of association 13 (Greece) are promoted from the third qualifying round to the group stage.
  • The domestic cup winners of association 18 (Cyprus) are promoted from the second qualifying round to the third qualifying round.
  • The domestic cup winners of associations 27 and 28 (Serbia and Slovenia) are promoted from the first qualifying round to the second qualifying round.
• If Sevilla are the Europa League title holders, but do not win the 2015–16 Copa del Rey, the Europa League third qualifying round berth that they qualify for through domestic performance (as the seventh-placed team of the 2015–16 La Liga) is vacated, and the following changes to the access list are made:
  • The domestic cup winners of association 18 (Cyprus) are promoted from the second qualifying round to the third qualifying round.
  • The domestic cup winners of associations 27 and 28 (Serbia and Slovenia) are promoted from the first qualifying round to the second qualifying round.

So Liverpool having a crap season has made the permutations easier if they win
